I'm not one to write reviews but there are times when it's called for. I spent the evening in Spring Valley Resort last night, as a guest in their restaurant. On certain nights they have a theme ...last night was "Street Food", very sophisticated street food where several stalls are set up to enjoy traditional and local Cambodian food for a modest price. The food was very tasty, the staff though were exceptional. The best service I have had in my ten week journey in south east Asia. I am a solo traveller and I was staying elsewhere (miles away) but as it was late into the evening the owner and one of this staff insisted they drive me home. I could have taken a tuk tuk. They drove me home (half way up a mountain!) and wouldn't accept any money. This wasn't part of the service and I know it was done out of pure kindness and concern for my well being. They were gentleman and told me about many of Kep's secrets. Apart from that, the hotel / resort is beautiful and well worth a visit to either stay or enjoy the food / drink and atmosphere. It is owned by a Cambodian couple.
