A beautiful place, well located into the hills- you can see the whole coast from the tree bungalows ($15).
We saw the $10 rooms also, and they were just a little smaller, with plugs outside, and lower down, which means less of the view. But, they are quite adequate.
Made entirely from wood and palm leaves, the huts are rustic and airy. Set in a fruit orchard, with rustic paving and walkways.
The owner/manager lady is friendly, but the language barrier makes some things a little tricky & guarantees some miscommunication. The staff speak zero English. It took a while to enquire/find out/fix the 'housekeeping' situation. We'd stayed in a fair few places on our travels, this one more expensive, and always received fresh towels, loo-roll, clean sheets/a made bed. But here this wasn't the case, and the owner/manager lady seemed so what put out (we stayed 4 days!) By our request to have the room & bathroom tidied. I asked several times for.a fresh pillow, never to receive one. ownEr handed our key in at 9.30am & specified (we were told we needed to specify if we wanted housekeeping) to have everything changed etc. We returned at 4.30pm, to a still uncleaned room. Bit poor. But the place itself is fantastic, just the staff need to be a little more together & organised.

Room Tip: The more expensive the room, the more space, creature comforts and better views you get.

Really nice bungalows in good location at great prices. Very friendly staff as well that are very welcoming. Were only planning on staying 1 night but ended up staying for 3!
Also, Kep is a great little town. Definitely go for a walk around the National Park and eat some fresh crab down by the market!

We stayed in Treetop Bungalows for two nights on our trip, and absolutely loved it. After a hellish 13-hour bus-ride from Siem Reap, a nice quiet retreat was exactly what we needed. Staff greeted us at the door and immediately invited us into the restaurant area, before carrying our luggage through to the charming little bungalows (we stayed in the low-rise, "like a gardener" huts. Very nice!). Food and wine was some of the best we had in Cambodia, the manager and her staff were absolutely charming, and the free Wi-Fi works surprisingly well, considering the location!

We loved our trip so much that we will definitely be returning to Cambodia next year, and Treetop Bungalows will certainly be seeing us again!

We arrived in Kep a day earlier than planned and having already made a booking next door at Kep lodge for the next 3 nights we stayed here for the night as the lodge was full. Just $15 for a stilted bungalow with bathroom and fan. Staff very friendly and the setting lovely. The crab market is a 15 minute walk away with the sailing club and it's happy hour a little closer. Highly recommended place to stay. You can also use Kep Lodge's pool next door for a few dollars.

Wonderful place! Price a little expensive, ten dollars for a stilted Bungalow. Complete with electricity and a fan. Community bathrooms and showers nearby.
Very peaceful and beautiful view of Kep national park and the ocean. A short drive to crab market but is walkable.
Service was great. English is rough but I don't expect people to be fluent. Take the time to learn some of the language. If you expect travelers to know your language when they travel to your home country, do the same for theirs.
. I would recommend to people who appreciate the natural side of a country. Not for the resort lovers. I will return.
Did not eat here so I cannot comment on the food.

We stayed at Treetop Bungalows have two nights and were blown away by it and Kep. It's very quiet, but set in gorgeous grounds and a 10 minute bike ride from the (equally quiet) beach and awesome crab market. Rooms are basic, but spotless and cosy. We spent one day just kicking our heels around the grounds, sleeping in hammocks and reading and using the pool in the next door hotel (which they let you do if you buy lunch there).

The staff were great, but really went up ten notches after we left. We left our Kindel in the room by mistake (idiots) and got a bus to Siem Reap. When we realised we emailed the manageress. She put the Kindle on a bus the next day, and got it sent to our Siem Reap hotel. She even paid the cost of sending it and refused to take our money, A legend!

We were shown three categories of rooms: 5$ ones with shared bathroom, 10$ ensuite rooms and 15$ rooms on stilts with an awesome view and a seperate, private bathroom. Since all rooms are very basic (they come with fan) and rather small we chose the one on stilts. You have a great view on the sunset from there as you also have a private balcony. The bungalow itself isn't much bigger than the bed, but clean and features a mosquito net.
The bathrooms are quite large and clean and have only cold water.
When entering the compound you'll first see the large and comfy reception / restaurant area which is also built on stilts and has great views as well. The surrounding area with its mango-, pepper- and whatever else plants is worth strolling around.
Staff is very nice and helpful although their estimations of distances are somewhat vague :)
They'll call you tuk-tuks, with whose drivers you then have to negotiate about the price (should be around 1,50$ to the bus station). You can also rent motorcycles, we got it for 1$ per hour.
Walking to the crab market with its restaurants takes around 15 minutes, the Sailing Club from where you also have a great view on the sunset is about 7 minutes down the hill.

Room Tip: the 15$ bungalows are worth it once you've seen one sunset
