A wonderful place to stay. Tastefully renovated, comfortable and superb value. Dom and Denise are perfect hosts, honest and very helpful. They have a passion for Cambodia especially Kampot and helped me with my touring plans whilst I was there. Initially booked for one night, stayed three and wish it could have been longer. If ever I return to Cambodia I would have to return here.
Their staff are superb. Very eager to please and speak enough English to have a good old natter and a laugh. I love this place.

We stayed here for 2 nights in November 09 and had a great experience. The room was beautiful with high ceilings and lots of beautiful wooden furniture and a 4 poster bed. There was an ensuite bathroom with shower and hot water. The owner's dvd collection is enormous and you can watch one for free in your room.
There is a restaurant on the first floor which looks out over the river. The food here was great. I would recommend the summer fruits smoothie! Breakfast was included in the room rate and was delicious.

I stayed only 1 night and recommend the Rikitikitavi highly. Service was great from the moment I sent my first email to the moment I left. Rooms are tasteful and simple (comfortable beds, great a/c). The location is excellent - right on the river and walking distance to everywhere in town. I stayed over 10 nights in Cambodia and the breakfast here was the best by far (great crepes, delicious juice). Dinner prices seemend well above the average I experienced in Cambodia but others have commented that the quality of food iaexcellent (unfortunately my chicken burger wasn't amazing...I wished I'd ordered the Cambodian food...but the portions seemend large). Overall, a very special place and highly recommend it - it looked so much nicer than the other places I saw in Kampot.

As mentioned by a previous reviewer Rikitikitavi really is one in a million. Extreemely tastefull rooms, superb staff and the lovely Dom and Denise who own the place add up to a fantastic experience when in Kampot. The town is a colonial gem with many old Frennch buildings to wander amongst and a lovely paved promenade to take in the sunset.
The food in the Rikitikitavi restaurant was some of the finest we sampled in SE Asia, with some truly superb Khmer offerings alongside the more western meals. All were very high quality, although more expensive than most other places. We were reccomended the Rusty Keyhole and Mea Culpa by the owners and both turned out to be great options also- the pizza at Mea Culpa was superb, and dittto the pork ribs at Rusty Keyhole.
We rented a moto through Rikitikitavi and this is a great way to explore the local area, though sadly Bokor is closed to all but the truly intrepid who dont mind a long sweaty jungle walk....Not for us!
Kampot in general and Rikitikitavi in particular are well worth the effort, and proved to be easily the highlight of our time away.

The Rikitikitavi is incrediable value for 35usd, with fantastic rooms and bathrooms. The restaurant serves amazing food, and the breakfast that is included in the price was very tasty, although some items were optional and cost more. Staff in this hotel were nice and honest with a couple of very good europeans in charge who seem to know their business. The hill upto the Bokor hill station was sadly closed and there do not seem tobe any plans to reopen it any time soon which means there is little to do in Kampot after a day or so. Small scooters can be arranged which is nice to see the local places on, a local paper called the darlinge(?) has a good map.

Rikitikitavi is great - I just spent a fabulous two days there and met several other people who had either just stayed or were heading back there again! Denise and Dom are welcoming and full of good advice and have created a fantastic atmosphere at their little guesthouse. The rooms are modern and asian themed, with lovely new slate bathrooms; the bar and restaurant upstairs is the place to drink and meet fellow travellers (and expats) in Kampot, in a relaxed kind of way. Everyone raves about the Saraman curry - quite rightly! - and the Western food is great too (awesome gourmet burgers). The staff are really professional and friendly and it has a family atmosphere. Ask about going out on Bart's boat too for the afternoon - something a little different and literally off the beaten track rather than the usual sunset cruises. Thanks Denise and Dom for a great time!

The best vegetable curry I had in Cambodia was at their 2nd floor restaurant. Rich, creamy yet not overly spiced.
