“Fantastic Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014 via mobile

Plus points - the service is probably the best we've had anywhere in the SE Asia so far, and we've been here nearly 3 months now. Such nice staff and so, so friendly.
Breakfast is good value and really nice.
The bed was amazing (we stayed in a ground floor "delux").
Wifi was generally good, everything is spotlessly clean.

Minus points -
Location isn't great, it's fine in the day but at night it's not a nice walk back from town (only about 15mins but poorly lit and lots of people just hanging about).
The open bricks in the bathroom (ventilation blocks) need mosquito screens, we had quite a few during our stay, it wouldn't cost much to put those on.
Finally for the cost there should be TVs in the room. Yes not having them is nice for relaxation but ultimately rooms in Kampot that charge less do have them (and with cable/satellite).
Essentially - awesome staff, awesome service and awesome breakfasts, spotlessly clean but couple of bits missing.
We arranged a tuktuk to Kep National Park, the crab market and the caves for $15 through the hotel. Skip the caves - not worth it... Also the hotel's tuktuk driver told us at the market that all the crab restaurants were closed today so to just eat fish off a stall, we should've walked round the corner - turns out just HIS one was closed (where he sends his customers) there were about 10 others open round the corner. Annoying to go all that way and miss out. I'd still stay here again - lovely staff.

Two Moons Hotel are situated just a short stroll from the sleepy town centre in Kampot.

It's priced as low mid-range, the hotel and rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and you feel right at home.

The staff are exceptional, go above and beyond and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

They have free bikes to use to take in the sights, or will happily organise a scooter, helmet and lock for your use.

The food menu is a good mix of local and foreign cuisine executed well, I had the best fish Amok since arriving two weeks ago.

I would recommend Two Moons and stay here again.

The rooms are ok, but the central courtyard provides a lovely peaceful sanctuary, and the food was supurb. The staff are amazingly helpful and cordial. I felt completely at home there and was sorry to have to leave.

Room Tip: Some rooms do not have good wifi reception. The view from the second floor is very nice of the river...

I didn't stay here as they were fully booked. However I had breakfast and dinner here and can say the food is very tasty and the staff are gracious and very helpful. Chenda on reception is extremely helpful and even though I wasn't staying here she helped book my next accommodation in Sihanoukville. The bungalows overlook the restaurant and its a great spot for sunset cocktails.

I stayed here for almost a week this month. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed in in my travels in Cambodia, Vietnam, The Philippines, Thailand and Australia.

The room was quiet, large and tastefully decorated in a Zen like beautiful and simple style. The food was great, but most of all I would like to complement the friendly and very helpful staff. I would love to bring my children or my friends here.

My husband and I booked into this new hotel for 3 nights but loved it so much we extended another 2 nights. All the staff were so friendly, nothing was to much trouble. They were very helpful in organising tuktuks, making trip suggestions and helping book further accommodation.
The rooms have plenty of room, clean and quiet, the bathroom is large with good hot water.
The food was wonderful with a good variety of asian or western. They even have good wine to drink.
The gardens aren't finished yet but you can still relax in the chairs under the tree, in the hammocks on the roof, at the bar or in the open restaurant.
It was lovely to sit talking with all the staff either at the bar in the evening or over breakfast.
Free bikes made it easy to explore Kampot.
Thank you Kamala ,Amelie and staff for a fantastic stay.

Looooved this hotel. Friendly people. Quiet, by the river and great value for money. It was a very short walk into town. The rooms were large and very clean. The shower was amazing. Forceful, hot and at the right height! I have been all over the place and trust me written some rotten reviews but I genuinely loved it here. Good Luck to them.
