“Perfect place for a proposal”
Reviewed November 24, 2011

Everything was just perfect at Chem Chem and we felt like totally home. Food and service were excellent so was the place as such.
I am just sad that I am already married as THE perfect proposal would have been at the sunddowner by the lake - a place and atmosphere we will never forget!
If you are missing your excercise: go for a run with a Massai - a very special and unique experiance - highly recommended!

New High End lodge on a perfect spot near Tarangire and Manjara NP. We woke up with Giraffe's and Zeebra's in front of our tent. Real African feeling with very nice staff and excellent service. We really felt home away from home without loosing the adventure.

We are lovers of all things beautiful and our stay at Chem Chem has fulfilled our widest dreams. Discovering Africa this way was for us the ultimate experience. The lodge is beautifully designed with touches of luxury in every corner. The host and the lodge's crew are extremely generous with their time and local knowledge. Sipping a glass of selected wine watching the sun set and wild animals coming for a drink in from of the lodge was memorable. We have done our research in high end lodges in Africa and this is by far the best we found.

I have been there in june 2011 for 2 nights to use it as a hub to go to Tarangire National Park. It is a absolutely amazing lodge.
Great luxury tents with all kinds of amenities you could ask for in the middle of nowhere. Lots of wildlife around the lodge. You can see Zebras, Giraffes, warthogs, even 2 cheetahs show up among other small animals.
Best food I had while staying in Tanzania and a really caring owner couple which has been all the time around.

we were absolutely blown away when we visited Chem Chem for its official opening this June. What a fantastic job they have done recreating such an important wildlife concession. What refreshment to see a total new style and design awakening in Tanzania's lodge collection. A of luxurious yet authentic haven - just perfect to really blend into the beauty of the African wilderness. With so much love and passion to details in combination with nature we felt this is a place you can come and "settle in" for good.

Room Tip: total privacy in room 7 - 8!
