We stayed at Maramboi the last two nights of a ten day safari trip through Tanzania. Although the rooms were canvass sided, these were no tents. Each room was a small cottage-sized structure. Large comfortable bed. Desk with chair. Small deck on the outside. The canvass "tent" had a thatched roof over it. This was by far the most upscale lodge we stayed in during our trip. The common area was very well done with sofas, easy chairs and very attentive staff. The only down side to this lodge is that Tarangire turned out to be a bit of a disappointment to us after time in other parks.
