We stayed here while visiting Tarangire Park, and what a lovely haven we found it to be! The "tents" were nothing short of amazing and the lodge was exactly as you would imagine a tented camp to be in Africa.

The beds were masive and comfortable and the showers had good pressure. The rooms were clean and well done considering they were supposed to be tents.

I found the staff nice, but not very relaxed and they didn't seem to want to interact much with the guests. I also found the coffee quite terrible here.

My husband and I stayed at this camp during a group tour safari in Tanzania. This was our least favorite accomodation. To be honest, we arrived around dinner very tired from a long day with an early start and then woke up at about 5:30 am to drive into Arusha. When we arrived with our bags, the staff disappeared with the bags of other members of our group. We were left standing alone with our bags. Our rooms were the furthest away and yet we were so desperate for a shower we walked the distance with our bags. The food at dinner was buffet style and probably the least selection and flavour of all the lodges we stayed at. The house wine was boxed wine and the bartender had thrown away the box and couldn't tell me what type of wine it was so I ended up buying a bottle of wine. It didn't give me a good feeling to be walked to our tent by staff with spears! We didn't get a good nights sleep - granted there was a storm but there were just so many things to rattle in the wind. Our room was filled with insects - much more so than any other place we stayed at. The box breakfasts packed for us to eat at the airport in Arusha were given a pass by most of our group.

The staff here were always smiling and very very welcoming. This was a good honest camp. It had very large tented accommodation. You didn't need a wake up call as the birds do that every morning! The food was plentiful and excellent. Choosing what to put in your lunch box yourself was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent location close to Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park.

Spectacular location very close to Lake Manyara. Very nice restaurant, good food, good service. Loved my stay here. Tents not high tech, but everything you need was available and in good condition.

Located in the middle of really nothing but great nature.
Next to Lake Manyara. Great pool. Good buffet.

The tented lodges offering a good comfort with bathroom, good shower and seperate toilets.

During the night, different security guards will accompany you to your tent, which can be 6 minutes walking if you are sleeping in one of the more recently built tents.

Professional guides offering nice walks about herbs & plants.

Breakfast is until 10AM, but we were on a earlymorning gamedrive in Tarangire, so came back around 11AM, and they prepared a special breakfast for us.

Only good memories to this place.

Although not realistic that we would be in once place for the entire safari, Maramboi Tented Camp was hands down the best place we stayed at. The scenery was shockingly amazing, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the breakfasts and dinners were plentiful and very delicious. The "tent" itself was not a tent. It was better than some hotels I have stayed in. Overall, an excellent experience.

My only tip is, make sure your outdoor lamp is OFF while you are having dinner. Otherwise, you get 1000's of little + huge bugs stuck to your tent and you would have fun getting in without inviting them in as well.

Our group stayed here following our trip to Tarangire National Park. I was really surprised about how much I liked this camp. It was my favorite of the trip. It seemed like a perfect
safari atmosphere. Sitting in the lounge area and soaking in the surrounding scenery. We
were expecting to stay in one of their tent accommadation but ended up in their hard sided family cottage. It was clean, spacious, with plenty of hot water and 24 hour electricity. I thought the dinner and breakfast buffets were good. There was a buffet to fix your box lunch which I liked doing. I regreted that we were not there long enough to use the pool and I wish we had stayed another day. It was definitely well worth the money.

The scenery was very pretty surrounding the camp with herds of zebra and wildebeest. It was a surprising contrast to the drier Tarangire park area and it was not that far from the main road to Tarangire Park.
