Although Tripps is part of a small chain, we've eaten at several and found each a bit different but still with good food and great service. The wait staff is attentive after serving to make certain your beverage is full or do you need anything.
I've not been in a Tripps that I wasn't seated almost at once. The tables aren't crammed together like most places these days. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

While Tripps is part of a small local chain of restaurants, the quality of food and service is much better than you would expect. First of all the tables are not crowded right on top of each other as in many chain restaurants which is a big plus. The service is excellent in every aspect and the food is outstanding! We had the ribeye steak and the honey bourbon salmon and they were both cooked perfectly. We highly recommend eating here!

Stayed at the Courtyard right across the parking lot and needed a quick dinner so we could make it to the Greensboro Symphony Pops concert by 8 p.m. on a Sat. night. First of all, they sort of take reservations and will seat you ASAP after you tell them what time you will get there. We got there at 6 p.m. and were seated immediately. Our server, Lisa, was chipper and very attentive. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was enough for 3 or 4 people and was outstanding. Hubby had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and broccoli and it was the best. I had the blackened tuna topped salad and it was perfect. My glass of pinot grigio was super cold as it should be. Too full for dessert so we came back after the show and the New York Cheese Cake is authentic, the best and is flown in from N.Y. Our server, Desiree, was bubbly and fun and bartender, Morgan, made a super Lemon Drop Martinee. (Yeah, it goes with cheese cake.) Well, we didn't stop there, we went for the brunch on Sunday morning and were just as impressed as the night before. Jo and her trainee, Stu, were also excellent and fun servers. My eggs benedict and hubby's French toast were fantastic; not to mention that all selections come with "fresh-squeezed" orange juice, poppy seed muffins, home-fried potatoes and warm cinnamon apples. Forgot to mention the atmosphere is lovely and everything was clean and menu has many selections for all appetites. If you haven't been there you need to go.

We arrived about 11:30 on a Sunday morning and had forgotten the ABC law about alcohol before Noon so we had to wait 30 minutes before we could have a Bloody Mary and when it arrived it didn't have the usual garnishments but I noticed later another table ordered the same drink and they had the celery, etc. Our wait person - Brian - was excellent. Great sense of humor. The only drawback was the place was relatively empty at 11:30 and after we (party of 4 adults) were seated they seated a family of 2 children (one was crying when they entered the Tripps) in the both directly behind us. One of the children continued to SCREAM - Mom finally walked out with her for a moment - then returned. Older child kicked the back of the booth. Why do people bring children that young to a nice restaurant - that's why they have McDonald's. I can put up with that kind of behavior at a Cracker Barrel but not a meal where you are paying $15 an entree! The hostess surely could have seated them away from the people already seated and eating when the child comes in screaming! I would ask the hostess at this particular establishment to seat us in the bar area next time - maybe screaming kids wouldn't be there. Good choices for Brunch on the menu.

Since my son has moved to Greensboro, we have eaten here several times. We have enjoyed every meal regardless of what we chose. Highly recommend eating here and it is reasonably priced
