“Fresh, homemade, delicious, and hard to find foods.”

Giacomo's Italian Market
Ranked #40 of 886 Restaurants in Greensboro
Cuisines: Italian
Description: “Call it fate,” he said. Giacomo Santomauro, the grandson of Italian immigrants, did not initially set out to open an Italian market. Instead, he dreamed of life as a firefighter, ultimately landing a job in High Point. But the desire to carry on his family’s tradition prevailed, and, after the birth of his second child, he found himself returning to his roots. Nearly two decades later, Giacomo’s Italian Market continues to please the Greensboro community with great homemade, authentic Italian products. Since day one, our commitment has been to using only the highest quality, freshest ingredients and providing nothing less than superior service to our customers. Authentic, robust Italian flavors from homemade sausages, salamis and cheeses are what Giacomo’s Italian Market is all about. In a word, we insist on doing things the only way we know: the “right” way. Giacomo's has an extensive line of home-made sauces, sausages, salads and desserts, as well as an assortment of fresh baked breads and rolls. We would love for you to stop by our quaint deli for a fresh, artisan-made lunch! If you require catering for your party or special occasion, Giacomo's can prepare platters that will save you time without ever compromising taste.

“Fresh, homemade, delicious, and hard to find foods.”
Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

This place is a joy to have in Greensboro. Most people would never think this place would be good by looking at the outside. Once you enter you are in for a rare selection of quality homemade meats, cheeses, pasta's and sauces. Really is worth a try!!!!!!!!!!! Really!

“I LOVE this place”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This little deli has limited seating so you may have to take your treasures home for a meal. My favorite sandwiches are the Papino and Meatball sub. The marinated grilled zuchinni, the home made mozzerella, sausages made by Giacomo himself - I could go on and on because everything is delicious! They also have refrigerated and frozen dishes to go - a great quick meal at home. We eat food from here at least once a week and have never been dissapointed.

Reviewed June 30, 2013

We really enjoyed this small place with great subs, salads and amazing tiramisu! Loved the Italian patisserie, Easter eggs, beer and juices from Italy. Great place to stop by and enjoy a great meal!

“Best sub I ever ate”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

My son lives nearby and picks up deli items regularly. He wanted us to try their subs, so we did. I got one called Nicoletta ( I think that is right.). Best sub I ever had. Next visit to Greensboro we will go by there again and this time get some items to take home in addition to a sandwich.

“Great Italian sandwiches!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

The Italian sandwiches (subs) are really tasty. Try the Italian Stallion. Has a tempting selection of anti-pasta. Meatballs, pasta and sauces prepared on location and available for take-home cooking. Very small shop with limited seating. Service-oriented staff.
