“Best Muffaletta outside of New Orleans”

Great sandwiches, fantastic salad bar, yummy bakery items. Huge menu, tons to choose from and all of it is great. Fast, friendly service, reasonable prices. One of my favorite places to eat.

“Healthy AND Organic”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Love the options at Jason's...their potatoes are HUGE, salad bar is healthy and amazing choices....and the tea selection is great.....the desserts are addicting.....just keep in mind how hungry you are when ordering - some of their sandwich selections are very small, although yummy - just adjust your hunger to your needs.

This place is not for a quiet chat - it is a bit noisy, but the food is worth it!

“Consistently very good”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Fresh food, good service. The only times they have dropped the ball, the staff were quick to make things right. My only beef is that they dropped the Pot Roast Sandwich from the menu (boo!). Definitely go to Jason's. I don't eat it, but I am told the hummus alone is worth the trip.

You cannot go wrong by making your own salad but do this before the masses go there for lunch!

“Some Good Choice Here, You Gotta Pick & Choose”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

This is a chain, for sure, but despite what some folks think, chain restaurants can produce some pretty good food choices - and with a chain consisteny is usually their strong suit. They offer a nice variety of Soups, Salads (including a killer salad bar with tons of choices), Wraps, Paninis, Specialty Sandwiches, their" Famous" Sandwiches , Pasta choices, Potato choices, a Build Your Own Sandwich, and of course, their signature Muffalette.

This is a cool place in several respects. They have a separate ordering area for eat-in and takeout/call-ins - kinda keeps things organized. Their Salad Bar is large, very large - loaded with veggies, WHOLE BOILED EGBGS, several pasta salads, some grain salads, cheese, bacon bits, sprouts, seeds (some folks eat these, I guess), and a number of nice dressing,.several types of lettuce, & MIXED GREENS.

But delis are about sandwiches, big sandwiches - full of sliced animal and fowl - and crusty bread, and dill pickle spears - they have all of that here, at least in varying degrees. Now, their Muffaletta (the self-proclaimed signature dish) is only ok - the family recipe olive salad is rather bland; the bread is simply not crusty enough: and the meat and cheese is a little thin.

The Hot Dog is a hoot, at least it is at takeout - Assembly Is Required. You get a naked, all beef weiner in a toasted bun - along with small containers of mustard, chili, and onions (red onions , actually - ouch! - you do not, ever, put red onions on a chili dog in the South, probably anywhere ouside of LA). You will be required to dress this dog yourself - not a bad idea, actually, if taking the dog elsewhere - but the chili is commercially prepared, tastes like Hormel, and then, there's that red onion thing. Skip the dog, or see if they have kraut for it.

The Mediterranean Wrap is excellent, only 320 calories, and you get a side, for only $6.49 - I would suggest the Fresh Fruit Cup - then everything will feel healthy. The best sandwich in the house (and most certainly not all that healthy), may very well be the New York Yankee - a combo of hot corned beef and pastrami, mustard or mayo, on rye - and you get a bag of Lays Potato Chips, and a dill pickle spear.

On takeout, you get containers of mustard and mayo, to apply at your leisure - cool idea. You can add a Side Salad for $3.99, and you go to the salad bar, and fill it yourself - nice size container, lotta food goes in there if you pack right - several WHOLE BOILED EGGS.
