“The perfect romantic honeymoon”
Reviewed January 18, 2010

How can I put into words the perfect time my husband and I had staying at the beautiful Twin Lakes Lodge? Everything was absolutely wonderful! When we got there we were greeted by Anita and shown to our room and shown all the features our room had to offer, including an impressive two person jacuzzi tub, a balcony overlooking the lake, two fireplaces, a king size bed, and the promise of a homecooked in room breakfast! We were not dissappointed the next morning when breakfast was hand delivered to us by Anita. it was the best breakfast I had ever eaten!! I could not have asked for a better honeymoon anywhere on earth. Thank you Anita!!! Love, Jared and Amy Gavin

We enjoyed a "mini-reunion" with our immediate family (adult children and grands) while visiting in Greensboro for Thanksgiving, and a larger family gathering. The rooms (we used four) were beautifully decorated, particularly well lit, and thoughtfully appointed. Anita and her helper, Cindy, were very accommodating with information and suggestions of things to do. And we felt totally at home in the common areas, which are spacious and comfortable. We especially appreciated Anita's breaking with custom to set a table in the living area large enough to seat all eleven of us for her bountiful , delicious breakfasts. She has a gift for hospitality.

You have heard the cliché, "What a small world." That was our experience at Twin Lakes. My wife and I went to Greensboro to see and hear the The Celtic Woman and thought I would be romantic and check in to a B&B. After looking at different reviews I was drawn to the Twin Lakes Lodge. Six years ago we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Aeire Inn B&B in New Bern, NC. The owner of the Aeire Inn was away on vacation for Christmas and left it in good hands with Howard & Dee. To our surprise when we checked in to Twin Lakes, Howard and Dee were our hosts while Anita was away. Our stay was wonderful and memorable.

If you want the very best place to stay in Greensboro, NC, I can think of only one place; The Twin Lakes Lodge. It makes no sense to stay anywhere else! For the price of a Comfort Suites, you have the warmth of home, the lake view, the gourmet breakfast and the hospitality of the fabulous Anita Gill. We have stayed in many B&B's across the states, but none compare to Twin Lakes.

We were furniture shopping on this trip, but will make any excuse to come back in the future!

Twin Lakes Lodge is one of Norht Carolina's best kept secret. Anita, the innkeeper, is the epitome of a true southern hostess. Her breakfasts were amazing and served beautifully. The room we stayed in was beautiful, clean, and private with a great view. This is a great place for a romantic getaway and I can't wait to return!!!
