I went to see Branson on the Road at the Barn Dinner Theatre on Friday, July 6, 2012. The buffet line was long. We got inside around 1:15 p.m. and the buffet was being taken down by 2:00 p.m. They wanted to start the show early. The food was okay. This matinee show was a little bit expensive though, $53 per person. Desserts were banana pudding and peach cobbler.
The three people doing the show were good. They also played their own instruments. As usual, it was very crowded inside. I did notice that they have painted the exterior since being there in January. The theatre is a 49 year old cinder block building.

Enjoyed our evening at The Barn, seating went quickly and then just as quickly we were off to the buffet-this is an all you can eat affair with many hot and cold items to choose from. At the end of the main buffet line stands a chef craving tempting clices of roast beef/turkey or ham. I found teh roast beef very tasty with the horse radish sauce on the side. The dessert choices were less intersting so I headed back to the buffet line and had a few more vegs instead.

The wait staff are all very prompt and friendly giving excellent service whether by whisking away an unwanted dish or plate-or bringing you a cocktail. Nice lamp lighting which made the small theater space cozy and more appealing.

The show started around 8pm-and ran for about 1 1/2 hrs with a short intermission. Wr saw Soul Sisters-but I'm sure any show there would be entertaining-the square stage desends from the ceiling so there will be no trouble seeing the show from any table in this room.
Seems like a good place for all , whether as a date night, family gathering-or specical occassion!

And we both had a wonderful time! The food was good and the play was such a treat! Even after I found out my husband's ex mother-in-law worked there, I still enjoyed it! LOL Such a special thing to do, especially for out of town guests!
