“Beautiful”

This garden is beautiful!! Well maintained and very peaceful! We go here at least 2 times a month. Sometimes we bring the dogs , as long as they are on a leash and you bring your "doggie bags", they are welcomed to enjoy the gardens too!

“Natural Retreat in the middle of Greensboro”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2014

We were surprised to find such calm and natural beauty in Greensboro. There are numerous trails to walk, and you can choose to walk a long earthen paths or wooden boardwalks. There are printed guides at the entrance of the park. We spent about 90 minutes taking a relaxing stroll through the trails, and met several photographers who frequent the garden. One pointed out a good place to spot an owl, and we did. We saw numerous kinds of birds and enjoyed the array of birdsong all through the gardens. You can walk a long the boardwalk overlooking a creek that winds beneath, with fish, ducks, and geese. There are lookout spots along the lake, and then a very peaceful man-made waterfall at the top of one of the trails. The gardens are mostly shaded. If you need a nice place to walk with your family, a friend, or alone, relax, clear your mind, and enjoy nature's simple beauty, give the Bog Garden a try. If we lived much closer, we'd frequent these gardens routinely.

“First time visit”

To find this in the middle of the city is very refreshing. We saw ducks, an owl, great blue heron and a gorgeous recycling man made water fall.

make sure you have your walking shoes! great place to enjoy a leisure walk as well as a jog! The area can be busy so time it during school hours if possible.

“Nice detour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

My eldest son was on a college visit to UNC-Greensboro and we took our younger sons to both the Bog Garden Very pleasant walk through wooded area with raised wooden boardwalk. Saw a number of ducks and one mother duck with her ducklings. There is an attractive water feature/waterfall, which is good for photos. The Tanger Family Garden is across the street, and I would recommend combining the two.
