I've been eating at the Newk's in Winston-Salem since it opened so I was excited to see they were building one by my work in Greensboro. I went in to order lunch and wasn't disappointed. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating and the food is delicious!! Everything I've had there is tasty. They are in the same strip area as Subway, perfect location. My company does a lot of catering so we will definitely be using them in the future. Keep up the good work Newk's!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We are glad to hear that you experienced the same high quality food and service as you did with your visit to our Winston-Salem location. We are definitely expanding our restaurant into new areas, with our Fayetville location having just opened up 3 weeks ago. Thanks again for your continued patronage and we look forward to seeing you during your next visit.

Stumbled into the place while doing some shopping at Friendly Center. First impression... Great ambiance, hip energy, and AWESOME food! Totally did not expect the caliber of cuisine from a cozy place like this. You place your order and have a seat...oh, and you can conveniently wash your hands before you dine at the open sink near the entrance. GREENSBORO'S NEWEST and best kept secret. Gotta check it out!

I attended the soft opening on Sept. 5th. The restaurant has a very warm and inviting design with an open and casual feel though a little loud (need sound dampening materials on walls or something). The menu was limited for the soft opening but still had a good variety of options. The three people that I attended with got sandwiches with pasta salad and seemed to enjoy them. I got a pizza. "The Debra" was a very tasty pizza and was larger than I expected. My only complaint about the pizza is that the crust was much too soggy for my taste. I prefer a crispier crust. I also got a chef salad. The salad was great and huge. I ended up eating only about 1/4 of the salad and taking it home. Asking if I wanted the dressing on the side would have been nice... I didn't think to ask and there was a bit much on it. The staff was very nice but seemed scattered and lacking focus on any one particular table (as expected for a soft opening). I would expect that after having been opened to the public it will be substantially different. I have to say that I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were. The food was free for the soft opening but I got to see what the total was. Two sandwiches with sides, one pizza, a chef salad and two drinks were a little over $17.00. Not bad for 3 people. I shall return and soon. :)

We are so glad that you had the opportunity to partake in our soft opening. It was a great chance for us to get valuable feedback from future guests. It sounds like your overall experience was good, which we like to hear. I am sorry to hear that your salad was overdressed. As you mentioned, please feel free to ask for the dressing on the side or even for light dressing next time. This will allow you to taste all the fresh ingredients of the salad and not just the dressing. We have also worked out any service kinks that you may have experienced. We have dedicated the past few months to implementing top notch service tactics that you will experience upon your next visit. We look forward to seeing you soon.
