“Worthy of a return trip”
Reviewed November 26, 2006

This was the first place we ever ate when we moved to Greensboro. We've been back again and again because the menu, which changes every six weeks, rarely disappoints. If you're an adventurous eater, there will be something new for you every time you go. However, your favorites will be there too, if you're not feeling as daring. Why would you ever go to a chain restaurant when the GVG is in town?

“a great place to eat.”
Reviewed April 3, 2005

We just got back from Greensboro, and a short stay at the O'Henry Hotel. We ate at the Green valley grill which is attached to the hotel and it was just place great. From the bar to the restaurant itself this is a great place to eat as well as drink. The memu changes every six weeks or so and we lucked into a french cuisine. The servers were friendly as is everyone at this place and knowlegable about each menu item as well as there extensive wine list. We ate there twice and everything that my group had was better than just good, it was great. From the salads, all the dressings are made in house to the final desserts it was a great dining experience. We tried everything from the fish to the steaks & veak to the chicken dishes and all were great. I would highly recommend this as a great place to eat. Only draw back is smoking is allowed in the bar area but we didn't notice it in the dining area. Please don't let this stop you, it's to good not to try.

“Superb Meal”
Reviewed June 26, 2004

We ate at this restaurant while staying at the adjacent hotel. It was marvelous. I had the filet mignon and it was the most tender and mouthwatering steak ever. My boyfriend had the pork chops and was thrilled with it. Everything was great, including the bread and house salad. We even had dessert, which we never do. Try the Frozen Nutty Irishmen. Amazing!!!!! We paid $70 for 2 large entrees, wine, dessert, and tip. Would definately do it again. Thums up!!!!
