“We were no impressed.”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

We ate here with our girls and another couple on Monday June 29th. The decor is very nice as was the wait staff. The prices are a tad less expensive than Imperial Koi (which id just down the road). My husband and and I ordered a rainbow roll, salmon skin roll and spider roll. The fish on the rainbow roll was not fresh, the salmon skin roll was tasteless and the spider roll soggy.
All this could be because it was a Monday and the regular Sushi Chef was off that day????
One of the people with us had the Hibachi chicken and he did not care for his either...
Jury is still out on weather we will give this place another try.

“Great new place!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Greensboro is lacking in good sushi places so I was hopeful about this new restaurant. It did not disappoint. Tried some standard rolls (tuna roll, California roll) for comparison-sake and they were very tasty. They also have a creative specialty roll menu, as well as hibachi-style dishes and noodles & rice. Lots to choose from. The servers were very nice and helpful. The food was presented nicely. And the restaurant itself is very nice. Don't be fooled by the Pepsi-sponsored signs outside; this is not a fast food place. Definitely worth a visit. We will certainly return!

“Try sushi, even if you think you don't like it!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

After hearing rave reviews of this new restaurant from several people--it opened in mid-June--we were eager to try it out. One of us is fond of sushi--the other didn't think she liked sushi until tasting four different kinds here. Two couples shared four orders of sushi (8 pieces on most of the plates) and two entrees. The spicy salmon ($5), Philadelphia (cream cheese, smoked salmon, cucumber) ($5), and shrimp tempura ($6) rolls were excellent. For those who don't like sushi, there are plenty of other choices--noodle dishes and stir-fry items, soup and salad. The Chef's Specialties Shrimp & Scallops (just shrimp, $15.95), featured jumbo shrimp, perfectly cooked, with snow peas. The four or five chefs have different specialties; servers know the menu and are friendly and helpful with suggestions. The owners designed the restaurant in a never-before-occupied space in Jefferson Village (off New Garden Road south of Bryan Blvd.). Go straight when you turn into the shopping center from New Garden Road; it's across from Panera and the Bath and Body Shop. You can also enter from the door facing The Fresh Market's parking lot (just down from Ten Thousand Villages and Evy's), where parking is ample. A welcome addition to this part of Greensboro, definitely worth a repeat visit!
