We wanted to try something different and we had a free appetizer coupon so we decided to go. The facility has been home to a number of other establishments but they did a pretty good job of decorating the facility to fit their theme. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our server took a while to greet us and informed us that she had numerous tables in each section and that it may take a while, We ordered the Shot Gun Shrimp which was somewhat spicy. It did not contain the ranch it was supposed to come with and we could not track down the server to obtain it.
It took about 15 minutes to finally receive the two draft beers that we requested and they were lukewarm. We immediately placed the order for our food so there would be no delay. He ordered the alligator and I ordered the Southwest Chicken and Shrimp. After about 25 minutes, the food arrived. All of the food was not warm. You could definitely tell this had sat there for quite a while. His alligator was not warm, chewy and not spicy stated in the menu. I was surprised that my chicken amounted to no more than 4 chicken tenders placed together with melted cheese and not crumbled but two whole pieces of bacon just thrown on the top.
After we were able to track down the server, we informed her of the coupon for the appetizer. She proceeded to ask us if we wanted to use it at this time, which threw us off. After another 10 minutes, we received the bill and were able to pay.
I know any new restaurant takes a while to get it's barrings and to become comfortable. I think this place has great potential and perhaps they were understaffed for the day. We will give this restaurant another try after a few months to see if they have turned around. I definitely would not recommend this place if you need a quick lunch or are short on time.
