“Wow... An Unexpected Treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2012

Like so many, the last attraction you often visit is the one right around the corner. This was our experience. The attraction commemorates the Revolutionary War battle of Guilford Courthouse, a pivotal battle for America's independence. The battle had lasted only ninety minutes, and although the British technically defeated the American force, they lost over a quarter of their own men.

The attraction is made up of a guest center and a drive/walk/bike riding path that takes you to the various stages of the battle. Be sure to stop at the visitor's center first. Their you can see both an excellent video documentary on the battle and also a presetation using maps to orient you for your tour of the battlefield. Once finished, you can use the rest rooms in the center, grab a free map of the battlefield and go for a ride or walk on a path/drive where indicator plaques identify the various stages and places where the battle was fought. A wonderful tour and most educational. Recommended for ages 10 and above.

“Revolutionary War New Perspective”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

For those who have an interest in American History, put this stop on your list. Learned a lot about why the Battle of Guilford Court House played a major role in the defeat of Cornwallis in the subsquent battle that ended the Revolution. A pleasant drive tour in addition to the Museum is a great way to burn a few hours on a weekday afternoon, when the park is not that busy. You can tell the locals use it a lot for exercise on it's lovely shaded trails.

“Awesome place to walk a dog!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

Spent the afternoon at the park walking my dog around. I had such a good time. I met some very friendly people and learned about the battle. My only complaint was a lack of doggie water fountains, I couldn't find any out on the walking trail.

“Great place to bike or walk.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

It's a safe place to get some miles in safely on my bicycle. It's just slightly under a 2 mile loop, but many trails dissect the park. Lots of wildlife including many deer.
