“Beautiful retreat in Greensboro”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

We went for a walk through the arboretum, and discovered a wonderfully diverse park. Most of the plants are labeled, and much of it has paved paths. We particularly loved the woodland paths, which were a cool retreat for a hot day.

“Peaceful Serenity in the Middle of the City”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Time stands still in this garden, though the hustle and bustle of life is just beyond the borders. The gardens of Greensboro are a delight and tribute to the leaders and citizens who volunteer their time and energy to maintaining these beautiful natural spaces.

“Spectacular !”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

This place is practically magical.. with a giant wind chime, sculpture that makes you want to dance..all among labeled plants (which I appreciate) and winding paths. It's a popular spot to meet locals, or bicycle with your kids.

“So many trees...so little time”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

After walking the Bicentennial Garden and the Farmer's Market I was just too pooped to do much of the Arboretum But do be sure to go to the Overlook to see the Butterfly Garden. It is on the the road surrounding the park. And then just park in a shady spot along the street and see it.
