Great service from start to finish for 5 nights.
A very traditional looking interior - not to everyone's taste, but we loved it.

Our room (621) was huge, the beds super-comfy & plenty of seating, overlooking the pretty courtyard & Christmas tree. Bathroom was also large and very well appointed - great separate shower and bath with lovely Aveda toiletries. The rooms are also among the quietest we have ever stayed in.

The complimentary breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Service staff were very helpful and attentive - especially with my not-so mobile mother.

We didn't try the Green Valley Grill, but were very happy with the room service meal we ordered on one of our last evening.

We were reluctant to leave and would highly recommend.

We are very glad that the O. Henry is right up your alley in style and service. Yours is a testament to how our team is focused on taking care of all of our guests from the moment they arrive until the moment they depart. Having stayed with us for 5 nights, you became a part of the O. Henry family! Our staff loves getting to know our guests.

Our intention when we built the O. Henry is that it would have good “bones” (quiet rooms, large bathrooms), we are thrilled that you noticed!

Next time you visit us, you must definitely enjoy the Green Valley Grill, and the offerings are flavorful and delicious.

Our daughter attends UNCG & we normally stay at a Marriott when we visit Greensboro. She couldn't come home for Thanksgiving so we went to her & decided to stay at the O Henry to make the holiday special-rate was $199. Every staff member was genuinely pleasant and helpful from the moment we checked in. The hotel is very spacious, clean and loaded with amenities. The bathroom was one of the largest I've seen & easily allowed 3 females to get ready at the same time!! The complimentary breakfast buffet was loaded with delicious scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon/sausage, grits, oatmeal, fresh fruit and boxed cereals. Easily a $20 pp meal.
An example of the staff going above & beyond: We had gone Toys for Tots shopping but ran out of time to find a drop box before we had to leave--staff loaded all of the toys in their courtesy van and dropped them off for us:) We've already made our reservations for the next time we are in town1

What a wonderful tradition – Toys for Tots shopping on Thanksgiving weekend! We appreciate your making the O. Henry a part of your family tradition. I am thrilled that you liked our wonderful bathrooms; they are my favorite feature of our guestrooms.
We look forward to being your home away from home while your daughter is enjoying her college experience at UNCG. See you soon!

The room was beautifully appointed: microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, shower and separate tub, plenty of storage and seating, windows that can be opened, and Aveda toiletries. All the subtle little nods to O. Henry were tasteful and sweet, like the engraved titles of stories in the elevators and the little book of stories left on the bedside table. The onsite restaurant, Green Valley Grill, gets rave reviews, but we only sampled desserts and wine in the bar, which ended up being fabulous. The service was excellent. The lobby, courtyard, and grounds were absolutely gorgeous and warm and welcoming.

The little touches were adorable and thoughtful and lovely, and for this reason, I'm sure, this property has charmed its way into the hearts of everyone in the area. The lobby and common areas were terribly busy at check-in Friday and all day Saturday for multiple events (a wedding ceremony and reception and a separate celebration). If you weren't part of the party, it felt very easy to be shuffled to the side and overlooked by staff because, while adequate for the number of guests staying at the hotel, the common areas aren't very large at all. This intimacy was amazing and well-appreciated returning to the hotel after the parties dissipated, but in the fray, it was a little discouraging. The facilities are so special and beautiful, though, that you can't really blame people for wanting to celebrate something--anything!--here. There're very few places I would rather be myself.

This is a wonderful hotel. From beginning to end our one night stay was perfect. The room was quiet and spacious and beds were comfortable. There were many amenities in the room such as bottled water, a microwave and a small refrigerator. On the bedside table was a complimentary copy of 'The Gift of the Magi' and an accompanying bookmark. But the crowning glory of the room was the bathroom. The layout was amazingly well thought out! We have stayed in hundreds of 4 and 5 star hotels and this hotel had by far the nicest, most accomodating and user friendly bathroom! The staff here are fantastic and the dinner and breakfast we had were excellent. We can't think of a single negative thing to say. Hope we get back to this area again for another stay!

Stayed two nights on a business trip. Lightning-fast check-in, greeted by every single staff person I ever saw in the place for two days. Excellent breakfast, fabulous walk-in shower in the room. Lot of little touches around the place to evoke the "O Henry" time (sort of the late 20s) like the tile patterns in the public bathrooms and the facilities there. Hotel bar is a lively place, with a decidedly upscale clientele and what appeared to be some folks dropping in just for the scene: Greensboro is probably missing a place for the cougars to prowl.
