We spent four nights at the hotel. This was the second time we have stayed and was as good as the First. The rooms are very good and big with all you could want, with a brilliant view of the river watching the sun go down and coming up in the morning. Charles is a good host and with all the stories he tells about the Battles makes it come to life. Charles took us to see the Bald Ibis nesting site that everyone should go too. The staff are very good and helpful you could not ask for a better place to stay. Some of the roads are a bit rough but if you take it slowly you are OK and you can take in all the views as well. All the guides that are there are very good and tell you tells to keep you thinking about Zulus and the wars that took place A must for everyone. The shop and restaurant at Rorke's Drift is very good as well , the craft centre is something my wife like's going to see so if you got time go to see that as you leave. Hope you have a good time like we did, and we will be back again soon to see all the friends we have made. On our trip back from the Bald Ibis we saw a pair of Secretary birds nesting in a tree that was a first for the area and for Charles we hope they do well and are there when we come back .We will keep in touch with Charles about them
