A lovely place to chill out and wander around and one of the best holidays we have had. It is ideal for those who want a relaxing time without the noise of music and 'over the top' drinkers. The whole place is very friendly and the pool is great. The choice of food is good and if you don't make it to breakfast you can get some basic food such as a pizza, samosa, cheese and tomato sandwich, chips etc.. The air con is a little noisy but we got used to it. The only downside to a wonderful holiday is that you have to pay for the WiFi and it doesn't always work or you can get 'bombed' out before your time is up. The management are aware of this and are looking into what they can do.

Room Tip: We stayed in the a garden room which was absolutely fine and well tended but I am told by others tha...

Have just returned from a fabulously chilled holiday @ The Mnarani ~ The resort is Beautiful, natural thatched roofs, open air restaurant, Very Very Friendly & Happy staff ~ willing to please all day. All inclusive does not usually live up to such good expectations ! The Beach front '3 degrees south team' offer excellent sailing & instruction. The Famous Captain Issa & his Crew offer superb sunset trips & morning snorkelling on a solid wooden douwe. The Beach Bar offers Giant G & T's with freshly made Samossa's ~ delicious. Kindest Regard & Big Thanks to all the hard working Cooks, Cleaners, Gardners, Security, Waiters & Bar Staff, Animation Team & Incredible Acrobats & Dancers that regularly performed @ night, Plus Management at this little gem of a place (don't change) !

Room Tip: Creak Rooms & Cottages ~ are lighter & have more space.

We stayed here for a week (sep 11) as part of a Neilson holiday and really wished we'd been there for longer. It's a fantastic hotel that's bright and airy with loads to do (canoeing, snorkelling, scuba, cycling to name a few). Staff are friendly and they really make the hotel.

The evening bird safari is definitely worth doing and you get great views of the creek and see a fantastic sunset.

Infinity pool is wonderful but I really like jumping in the plunge pool the second we arrived, no one seemed to use this but it's a lovely and peaceful place to cool down.

Also, you can't go there and not do a safari, it was by far the highlight of the holiday and we saw far more than we expected to.

Hello Folks
Why to go to Mnarani:
1. They are very flexible and provide really good service for all kind of travelers; since two weeks all exclusive packages to the independent travelers taking usually only bet and brekfast,
2. they have beautifull place overlooking the ocean,
3. Mnarani staff is lovely but especially Esther who is one of the managers from the reception,
4. the rooms overlooking the ocean are absolutely fantastic and ongoing see breeze is lovely - we did not use aircondition thanks to it. It is almost essencial to get one of them even if garden view rooms are a little bit cheaper; no comparison!!!!!!

During our three weeks trip I stayed in four different resorts (Diani, Malindi and Kilifi) but Mnarani was absolutely the best!!!!!
greetings
Lucek

Room Tip: take a room with balcony overlooking the see on the first flor

We stayed as a couple for 2 weeks from the 8/02/2013... We had a garden view room(77). The room was ok, apart from the aircon from hell, and the ceiling fan to match, both were very noisy, also we only has 1 socket in the room..it was clean and tidy. We had a few issues with food, being vegetarians there was little choice for us. Once the manager was aware of this he made every effort to make sure we had something to eat at every meal time...we went on safari for 4 days, we had to give our room up while we were away, but when we returned, they gave us the same one, so i don't really see the point of asking us to vacate...all in all it was a lovely hotel in a great location, I would return again providing the food quality and choices improved..we used the Dive Centre while we were there..Buccaneer Diving, Tim and his team were very proffessional and helpfull.we enjoyed 3days diving with them...the safari we chose was tsavo east/ west and amboselli 4days/3 nights. There was far too much travelling. We drove for 6 hours for a 2 hour game drive, then in the morning another 2 hour game drive, then another 6 hour drive back to tsavo west...we had no time to enjoy any if the facilities at the lodges, don't get me wrong the safari was fab, loved it, but the journey is far too long...

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for a creek room..try to get a poolside bed on the grass, for extra sun hours...

Me and my husband went in Oct 2012 for 1 week. The food was varied and pleasant, the staff couldn't do enough for you, especially Pamela who worked at the bar on the beach. The room was clean and well protected against mozzies. The bed had an excellent mozzie net around it. Their was a good selection of watersports you could participate in. The evening entertainment was good especially the snake education night.

My only criticism is that when we returned from our two day safari, that night we didn't sleep until 5am as there was a conference on with loud music banging away. I think this is a rare occurrence, nevertheless, this hotel describes itself as a peaceful and tranquil place and that particular night this definitely was not the case. The south african food and beverage manager was aware we were not happy about this and avoided me and my husband from then on.

Room Tip: Room on the creek side offer good views

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Mnarani Club and I have to say feeling very chilled. Lovely hotel for a 3 star with great staff and run by Henk and Elma who were the perfect hosts and couldn't do enough for us.
Food really good and a wide range.
Entertainment reasonable
Pool area brilliant and with the added benefit of a private beach there was plenty of choice to catch the sun.
Don't come here if you want to party every night it prides itself on the relaxing atmosphere.
It's as good as all the other reviews.

Room Tip: We stayed in a sea view room but the garden rooms looked really nice all were quite
