Best restaurant north of Mombasa. Food, Host, but the location, well don't just take my word for it, is to die for, especially watching the sun setting over the creek. Went with six fantastic friends after our wedding blessing at Mnarani, what a feast Pietro, and as for the shots of sambuco and limonchello well it just got better. It certainly helped the mooning from the Tuktuk going back to Mnarani.
Pietro, see you in February, same gang Tony Trish Ian Mandy Alan Sue
Thank you again

Best food I had in Kenya! I came from Mombasa to Kilifi to have lunch in Nautilus, and it was worth it. Fresh seafood, prepared with love and attention. Even more special was the way Pietro and Leslie welcomed me in their restaurant, I felt like a friend in stead of a customer. Thank you so much!

We love visiting Kilifi, as we are ardent fans of the 3 Degrees South Water Sports facility at Mnarani Club. We went for dinner as a party of eight (4 adults, four children) as a result of recommendations from friends. A nice water taxi ride from Mnarani into a setting sun and a very welcome greeting at the jetty. The restaurant is a very simple wooden construction built out into Kilifi creek, with whacky little 'objets' on all the tables. Staff are warm, welcoming and well trained and then the maestro appeared! Pietro is a man who clearly loves his small restaurant and loves his guests. After greeting us, he advised us to sit back and let him and his staff pamper us. They didnt disappoint. We let Pietro recommend what we should eat. We all wanted fish and seafood. He sent over some succulently sweet Kilifi Creek oysters with his compliments. We had two hors d'oeuvre platters to start - heavenly!! and then on to main course. Two huge platters of fish and seafood. We argued about which items were best. I'm writing the article so you get my version! The crab claws were brilliant. Breadcrumbed and fried, they were moist, flavour-packed and quite simply delicious. Next were the large prawns, char-grilled to perfection. Several different fish, all cooked perfectly, squid was good, although not outstanding. Portion sizes really very generous. Puddings are absolutely excellent. This is a MUST VISIT restaurant for anyone staying in Kilifi, and worth the drive for people in Watamu, Malindi and Mtwapa. Well done Nautilus and we cant wait to come back!
