My wife and I have stayed at the Royal Townhouse in Gatlinburg for years now.The hotel is older as is alot of hotels around gatlinburg, but the hotel is very well kept and clean. The staff is one of a kind and very accomodating, they are there with any issue that anyone has,and will do anything they can to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are outdated as is the tv's,the carpet was replaced a couple years ago but the rest was left the same. The beds are comfortable and everything is kept clean, there is daily daily maid service, coffee makers and microwaves and ref in most rooms. There is a rooftop pool for the kids as is a rooftop deck for sitting and looking down on the street,it has a very good location on the strip and close to all buisnesses. It has covered parking for the cars, and the price is under all of any hotels in gatlinburg especially in the off season.Over all clean and a great staff I will give it a number one rating, but like a lot it is not a Hampton,so if you are looking for clean at a good price its hard to beat.Make sure you pickup a Tennessee hotel coupon book at a Tennessee rest area or Truck stop to geat the best deal.

Room Tip: The king suites are the best rooms, ask for a room with the view of Mt.Leconte.

If you come to Gatlinburg to sit in your room this is probably not the place for you. We came to see the sights and explore. The price for a double room was $59. You park your car and can walk to most attractions and there are several good restaurants within a couple of blocks. In room refrigerator, rooftop pool and nice place to sit and watch the folks on the street below. In room fireplace, wi fi, coffee maker and comfy beds. Very clean and we did not notice any bugs, bed or otherwise. It is an older hotel/motel but is still a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Don't bring a large vehicle because you will have a hard time parking in the lot.

It is very, very old and shabby with no updating, however, it was clean. The location was decent for walking on the parkway. We parked the car and didn't move it until our departure.

There was an observation deck with some plastic chairs that overlooked the action and a rooftop pool. The rooms have no view except for the parking area and cement block walls.

We pulled into town during one of the busiest months of the year with no reservations. Cost was $80 per night for 2 doubles. With prior planning you could do better. Our choices were limited due to no vacancy at most places in the same price range.

Room Tip: There are no "good" rooms.

we reserved two rooms at this hotel, upon our arrival we thought it was a run down hotel but still checked in. lobby wasn't to bad, staff was very nice and professional. we went to our room's and found bed bugs in both rooms and then proceeded to tear the bed's apart, the stains on the mattress's were horrifying, brown, red, and yellow stains. not sure what they were and didn't want to know. the room did have a smell but not to bad. the carpets were stained and unclean. also found rodent droppings, needless to say ALL of our suitcases and stuff came back out of room within 1 minute of putting in there. immediately started calling to find another motel while wife and family went to get refund. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY...............

On the main strip, Once you get there and park you never have to drive again until you leave. It is a older motel and darker than the newer ones but its still a great deal. Rates are always the best in town. The staff is very friendly, the room service is very polite. The rooftop pool and deck is one of the best views in Gatlinburg. Fireplaces in most rooms with free firewood. Plenty of parking.

Room Tip: I personally like the third floor, better view
