Brookside Resort is an excellent place to stay in Gatlinburg. Great complimentary breakfast, rooms are super, the pool is beautiful. Pool has a waterfall and slides in the pool!!!! We absolutely loved Brookside. The babbling brook in back is Beautiful! Best place in Gatlinburg !! L & K

Room Tip: Brookside has great rooms on a babbling brook !!!

We stayed one day in this hotel and thank god for that. We were really disappointed with the hotel. With the amount they charge it should have atleast the basics right but it was wrong on all the fronts. Firstly it was not clean, the bathroom tub had dirty water when we entered, it was far from decent, the bedsheets were dirty. They charged us 100 $ for view of the smokies ...there was a stream flowing behind but no view other than that. basic thing like the TV remote didnt work. It was away from the main gatlinburg place around/more than 1 mile so the parking was as such of no use. The breakfast was also very disappointing. We could not find a single thing to like about the place. If smoky mountain were not so beautiful it would have turned into nightmare trip.

We booked this hotel for 98 buck abd expected the same kind of service but they had so many issues.
The bed sheets werent changed frim last visitor. Room was very dark even with all the lights on. Rooms were like the ones fron 70s and dingy.

When you visit Gatlinburg this is the place to stay in my opinion and written from one who went to elementary school and high school here (Pi Beta Phi Elem. & Gatlinburg Pittman H.S.). Anytime I return this is where I spend my nights...door ajar listening to the rambling stream outside my door alive with the sounds of our glorious mtns. and protected by private balconies, stone fireplace rooms jacuzzi tubs and proximity to downtown with even a trolley stop make this a no-brainer....waterfall pool included. Look for the black bear statue! Price is right for the perfect getaway...all you need is a couple of candles and the one you love for romantic indoor yet outdoor camping experience you certainly will not soon forget! And Lyle is always very helpful as he was again last night.

Room Tip: Four story building.

We stayed in a tower suites room, it had a fireplace(didn't use in the middle of summer), 2 queen beds, a kitchenette(fridge, microwave, sink), a balcony out back that overlooked a rushing creek. The view out back over the creek was nice. The room decorations were very outdated, probably hasn't changed since the 60's. TV was flatscreen though. That being said it was all very clean though. Front desk staff was helpful. Trolley stop is right out front of the hotel, however do not try to trolley to arts and crafts village, just take a car!

Room Tip: I think the rooms that aren't in the towers are updated, but not sure?
