After reading reviews and shopping the internet for a girls weekend in Gatlinburg, I found a decent "online price" with Best Western. Even though we visit Gatlinburg several times a year, I could not remember what the Best Western looked like. We arrived early so our room was not ready yet. The front desk told us we could park there and look around until it was if we would like. The lobby did not have a public restroom so we had to walk over to the restaurant next door. (Ok, I was starting to get a little nervous now) The outside of the hotel shows its age, but was clean. When it was time to check in, our room was ready and the front desk guy (Sam) was very friendly and eager to help answer any questions. Our room was a large room but the bathrooms are really small. It was not a problem for us though. It is within walking distance to shopping, shows and eating. There is also a trolley that stops in front if you are not able to walk but need transportation. The complimentary breakfast is served on the fourth floor and was fine. Overall, this Best Western was a decent price, clean, friendly and in a good location. It seems that in Gatlinburg you have either high dollar really nice hotels, middle of the road average hotels or the just nasty old hotels. Although this BW was just average, I would stay there again.

You really don't have much choice where to stay and all the hotels in the area are about the same. The beds were ok, had refrigerator. the staff was friendly could only stay there three nights as the room was booked for someone else later, This was the norm in the area we spent a week and stayed in three hotels you have to call ahead far in advance to book for a whole stay.

The hotel itself was fine, a little outdated but perfectly clean and the room was large. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was okay, even though it was served on the 4th floor which I thought was different. But it was fine. The price was okay, too. The location is great because you can walk to just but any of the many restaurants and shops there. We were there during Spring Break so traffic was a huge mess so being able to walk to have dinner was a big plus.
The issue here is that they advertise that they have free Wi-Fi. They don't have any Wi-Fi. The strength was so poor we could never log on. We went to the front desk and the clerk was friendly but his only suggestion was to just keep trying. We need internet access while we travel so we would not return to this hotel if we ever find ourselves there again.
My suggestion is that if Wi-Fi is important to your stay that you actually try it out in the room they assign you before you pay.

Room Tip: Be aware that the free breakfast is served on the 4th floor. I assume they had elevators but we did...

The hotel was okay. Did not like that the pool was not open, even though it was "supposedly" heated. The bathroom was terribly small!!!! I could not open the door completely to check on my 6 year old daughter while she was in there. We checked out around 11, then walked the strip. We stopped by the lobby to use the restroom before we left and we were informed that they don't have one in the lobby. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and NEVER has the lobby not had a restroom!!!! The front desk agent informed me to use the mini mall's restroom across the street!!!!! WOW!! Never will stay at a Best Western again.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time. The rooms were okay, like any other hotel room. The staff was great! And the hot breakfast every morning was great! The only thing that sucked was there was only 2 washer and dryers.

We stayed in the suite 100 with some friends. This room is a 2 bedroom suite, which was perfect for what we needed. Upon first arrival the rooms smelled musky and old decor, but it was very big and spacious. The master bathroom has mold on the ceiling and we did find ashes on the end table. I knew the maid had rush to get a room clean for us so we can check in early but it was supposed to be a non smoking room. It was very close to the strip of Gatlinburg that was a plus. After we came back to go to bed around 12 o'clock we closed our door, within 30 minutes our eyes were watering and nose was hurting from the smell of cigarette smoke. Tried everything to go to sleep and ignore it but by 3 o'clock we changed rooms. The next room was much better. I dont mind the old decor snd mold on the ceiling I could have lived with one night but cannot stand cigarette smoke. The next morning the lady at the front desk apologize and said that they cannot control what the public does, I did inform her the smell was so bad it was not from one person the night before. This reminded me of a bingo hall smoking section. Beware.
Everything else was ok, Conrad was very friendly and the owner's grandson was very helpful on a local attraction. Breakfast we a nice treat. I would stay here again only if I knew the room has not been smoked in.

A bit late in reviewing this. Spent 3 days at this property at the peak of Fall Foliage in the Smokey Mts. This hotel was at the opposite end of the strip from the mountains, but Gatlinburg is such a walkable area, it is not as far away as it seems on the maps. We waked through the town and back every night. Very pleasant, lots of folks walking and looking for places to eat. The rooms are old, could use a bit of updating, but I think most of the hotels are like that here. It was very clean and the fridge and microwave were a good plus. The breakfast room was very nice, a separate room on the third floor, not in the lobby like most places. That was a nice touch. Didn't hear any outside noise from the traffic. All in all, I felt the price was good and the location was great. Will definelty stay here again if we return. The vacation overall was wonderful. If you've never been to the Smokey Nts. then you must go, and Gatlinburg is the place to stay!
