Zoder's has best location and service in town for the price. While it is an older hotel, it is very clean, comfortable and extremely well-maintained with modern fixtures and furniture. The bathroom is small with a toilet and shower/bath, but has plenty of hot water and great water pressure, and bonus ceiling heater - handy for drying swim suits. The king size bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets, and the lamps above the bed are perfectly placed for reading/lighting and not in the way.

The service provided was the best! While we were there, every staff member from the maid service, maintenance man (he retrieved us extra coffee for our room), and especially the lady who served breakfast Saturday morning, 2/2/13 were friendly and helpful. She was a special delight.

The river was amazing with a roaring sound that drowns out the world. I can't wait to come back in the spring and bring the rest of my family so we can explore the beautiful property and enjoy the pool. Oh yea, the pool was beautiful, clean and the perfect temperature.

I highly recommend and Zoder's and can't wait to come back!

We just stayed at Zoder's this past weekend for a couple of nights. The property has to be one of the best in Gatlinburg. They have 6 1/2 acres of land and the Roaring Fork Creek cuts right down the middle of the hotel buildings. The balconies are actually suspended over the creek and the sound is heavenly! We had a light dusting of snow while we were there and the views were magnificent. The hotel room itself was just fine...very clean, nice flat screen tv, microwave, coffeemaker and fridge. Some of the furniture is dated, but not tattered looking at all and seemed clean. Tiny bathroom, but the sinks--two of them--were outside of the bathroom and there was lots of counter space and good lighting. The window to our breathtaking view was squeaky clean! Definitely request a creekside room. Ours was toward the back (Rm 117) and was very quiet and a short walk to breakfast. The breakfast was the one area I thought could use improvement...just a new toaster would do wonders! It was okay but nothing great. Nothing hot, except instant oatmeal or grits. We did not take part in the wine and cheese, but it is free from 5-7pm. The hotel is located directly across the street from Morton's Antiques, a very high end antique store with beautiful things. You can walk to a lot of things on the strip, but the hotel is sort of at the end of the strip, so you may want to drive--especially if you go in the winter when there is not much traffic and plenty of parking. In the summertime, it might not be worth the hassle to drive...better to make a long walk of it if you can. One tip: To make a left turn out of the hotel drive to go towards town can be very hazardous! The cars are going very fast and you almost have 2 blind curves--one on each side. We learned as we were leaving that there is actually a back exit that goes through a neighborhood that would alleviate this hazard! Do yourself a favor and stay at Zoder's for a fantastic experience.

Room Tip: Not sure why anyone would stay here and NOT get a creekside room....that's their number one sell...

I have been to Gatlinburg many times and have stayed at different hotels and cabins. This is the nicest place we have stayed at while in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Very, very clean, room very comfy, indoor and outdoor pool, free breakfast, and other perks. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Rooms closest to the office have private balconies over the stream but are far from the pools.

This is a very quiet place except for the sound of the water in the stream. I've stayed there many times and always leave the door to the private balcony open just to hear the running water. The price is a bit high, but worth it. One word of advice.......please be careful as you exit the property, especially if you're trying to make a left headed to the parkway. Traffic is heavy most of the time.

The room was clean and the staff very friendly. I loved the balcony. Wifi was annoying because you have to log back in every few minutes and it always takes you back to the hotel web page asking you to post a review. So here it is. The hotel is older but well kept. The bed was unusual but comfortable. I recommend this hotel but you will have to do a lot of walkin to get to most of the restaurants. We stayed in January and saw 2 trolleys in 3 days.

Zoders' s was a great choice for my husband and I. It had a clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff, balcony that overlooked stream, short walk to all the action. Indoor pool and hot tub great for families!

Room Tip: Request a balcony on the stream.
