Gatlinburg in autumn is often a gridlock of traffic, so we were delighted on our arrival to find that Tree Tops is away from the chaos and blessedly serene. The grounds are beautiful, with multiple picnic areas, outdoor pools and spas, and benches tucked away by the stream or near a covered bridge. There is also an indoor pool and spa. The staff were delightful and professional, our unit was immaculate and lovely, the beds were comfy, we had a balcony and a fireplace. We were in a building without an elevator (#3), but managed the stairs better than expected. This was an exchange from our home property, but we are now in the process of becoming an owner.

My wife and I stayed at Tree Tops last week while we were on vacation in the Gatlinburg area. We belong to RCI and exchanged our week at our home resort for a week here. It was rated as an RCI Gold Crown Resort and, believe me, it lived up to its rating - IN SPADES!! The resort is located on beautiful well maintained grounds nestled in the quiet hills above Gatlinburg - so you are away from the hustle and bustle of downtown - if this is what you want. Yet, you are just minutes away from the action in town and only a short drive away from "outlet world" (Pigeon Forge). We were greeted on our arrival by the friendly and professional office staff who assigned us to our unit in building #4 - a building with an elevator. Our unit, #424, was an immaculately clean one bedroom unit with a full kitchen (we cooked some of our meals), a Queen size bed, plenty of closet and drawer space, a nice balcony and a gas fireplace which we used in the evenings on a couple of occasions. A lot of the kitchen appliances appeared to be almost new, as did the dishes and pots. It also appeared as though the entire unit had been refurbished fairly recently because the living room furniture also seemed to be fairly new. There was a very nice pool area by our unit, but we did not go in the water because we thought the weather was just a little too chilly to go in the water. We had another very nice surprise - and a first for us - at this resort a day or so after we checked in. A member of the staff called and asked us if he could stop by our unit and present us with a small gift from the resort. The small gift was some candy, cookies, nuts etc. in a recycle shopping bag. There was no sales pitch. Instead, he spent about 20 minutes asking us how we liked the resort, if we had any questions, complaints or concerns, a and he also made some suggestions on what attractions we might like to consider seeing as well as suggestions of places to eat. He gave us his telephone number and told us to give him a call if he could be of any service. In all our years of timeshare travel, this has never happened to us before. My wife and I put in a full day touring each day including visiting the many craftsmen in Gatlinburg, doing the outlets at Pigeon Forge, and lots more. It was really great to know that we had the beautiful Tree Tops Resort to return to each day. We hope to stay here again, and would recommend this resort as one of the best we have ever stayed at.

My wife and I run our own business, so getting away and actually relaxing to recharge ourselves is a bit of a task. The front desk people welcomed us very warmly, easy access to the check in desk and also to our building. I suggest Building 4, as it has an elevator. The room was very pleasant, quiet, and very peaceful. Very clean, large kitchen, beds oh my gosh comfortable. I think they had the sensory foam mattresses. Kitchen had everything you would need cooking wise. The water didn't taste like rotten eggs, nor chlorine. I rarely drink water from any faucet of any building, and usually have to purchase bottles water. Not here, the water was refreshingly clean. Very open sitting area. We were facing the parking lot, and still it was quiet. My wife and I plan on staying here more often. We are Bluegreen owners and we were treated better, and had a more peaceful relaxing stay here than we ever have at any Bluegreen property.

Tucked away off the beaten path but still close to town. An older resort but well maintained, lots of activities all week, should you get bored with Gatlinburg and theSmokies (really?). Indoor pool and hot tub in addition to outdoor. Would give 5 stars except bldgs 1,2,3 do not have elevators.

We have owned here for 8 years and we love it here, the location is great. The unit is perfect and with it being remodeled in the last two years it looks great. The staff is great here and the other available facilities are top notch. Every year we eagerly look forward to this one week.

We stayed a week in a 2 bedroom unit, exchanged through RCI. I had called ahead to request a view of the Creek that runs through the resort. Our unit was very close to the creek with a view of both the pool and the creek, which ended up being perfect. We could both see and hear the rushing water and enjoyed leaving our windows open at night. There was some noise from the pool, but hotel management did come by every night to make sure the pool was empty at closing, which was 10:00. We were in building 2 near the end of the building, (unit 222.)
We were very impressed when we walked in. The unit must have been updated recently, since a lot of the pictures I had seen prior looked nothing like this one. The cabinets and the furniture were a darker wood with granite counter tops in the kitchen and bath. The furnishings looked very new as well, including the two sofas and the bedding. Our unit had two floors with a large living room, kitchen, balcony, half bath, and dining area downstairs, and two bedrooms with two full baths upstairs. Both rooms had queen beds. One had a large Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the other a shower. We could not have been more happy with the setup and condition of our unit.
The resort grounds are beautiful as well and exactly what we wanted out of a Gatlinburg vacation. The resort is off of Roaring Forks Road just outside of Downtown Gatlinburg. This puts you in a very peaceful area surrounded by trees. The whole resort seems to be in the woods. There are beautiful shaded areas to sit, including wooden "porch" swings overlooking the river. You can walk along the path of the river and even fish if you like. The pool areas have plenty of seating, shade, and BBQ grills nearby to grill out and eat by the pool. There are two outdoor pools, both with hot tubs, and one indoor with a hot tub as well. There is also a pool in the units that are on the other side of the street. We did not visit this one since it was somewhat out of the way.
With all of this, you are still only a minute or two drive away from being in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg or in the Smoky Mountain National Park. In fact, Roaring Forks road takes you right out of the park from an auto touring loop. The location to the parkway also puts you within a ten minute drive to Pigeon Forge as well, with easy access to many attractions including Dollywood.
We would definitely stay here again and in fact will probably make this our go-to resort for any future Gatlinburg vacations.
