My wife and I stayed here on the 21st March 2013 for one night. We had room 312, a standard king.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Gatlinburg when coming from Pigeon Forge, and near to some roadwork during our stay.
We were greeted by a very cheerful checking clerk who went out of his way to explain the set-up, which made us feel very welcome. Our room was on the floor above the reception which is the 3rd floor on the elevator as there is lower level parking.
This is (another!) older Day's Inn hotel and in bad need of refurbishment e.g. the thread bare carpet edge as you enter the room!. The bathroom was also small, and when the next door room uses the bathroom the fan noise is disturbing (As ours must have been to them). There is a small private balcony which overlooks the river, but which also overlooks the nearby Road on the other bank. Generally the building needs some money spent, but maybe this is the price of budget accommodation in Gatlinburg.
Breakfast, in the small reception area, was the usual Continental style, but I couldn't get the Waffle Machine to produce an edible Waffle - so I had two sugar icing doughnuts instead. The Hotel was quiet full as witnessed by the surprising number of cars the following morning.
The Hotel has some superior rooms with fireplaces, and maybe we should have paid the extra for one of these, although I didn't see into one.
Would we stay her again? Well unlikely, it needs to be better finished for a popular Chain.
