We love the pancake pantry! Everything is always fresh and good. The price is a little much for pancakes but we always keep going back. It's a Gatlinburg favorite.

The service was great and the pancakes were awesome. I would especially recommend the sweet potato pancakes. They only take cash no credit cards

We were kind of rushed. Also, they don't accept anything but cash. They do have an ATM machine of course, that charges an additional $3. The food was good but a bit expensive for your basic breakfast meal. All in all, it was ok. The place is nice looking and has a very inviting appearance.

They have a good variety of pancakes, but mine (apple walnut crepes) were cold. I'm sure the crepes were fresh, but the apples were mostly cold from uneven microwaving. My wife got the Caribbean pancakes (or something tropical) with bananas and coconut, and they were better. Everything is a la carte, so the tab for two orders of pancakes, a split order of bacon, and ice waters was over $20 plus tip. The service was average at the table, but you pay as you leave and the hostess couldn't be bothered to interrupt her conversation with a coworker to even say thank you. The atmosphere is nice if you can sit close to the big window, but otherwise, you are just in a cramped paneled room full of tables.

If you must go once just to say you visited this Gatlinburg icon, try to find a time when it isn't crowded. I would hate for you to wait an hour, get overcharged (in cash!), and have cold pancakes. This place has always been pricey but now seems to have slipped in quality. There are much better places to eat.
