“Well worth seeking out”
Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

This is away from the centre of Gatlinburg but it is worth the drive because the food is excellent. Salmon burgers were a particular highlight but soup and chicken salad were also well received. Nice rural location and very friendly staff. What's not to like?

“Very Disappointed”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Stopped by Wild Plum Tea Room for lunch while on vacation in Gatlinburg due to it's good reviews. Maybe we just hit them on a "bad day", but the food was O.K. at best. I had the chicken salad, soup, & cucumber salad. Chicken salad was super chunky with large chunks of apples & a heavy mayo type dressing. Not good..... Soup was like warm milk with small pieces of asparagus & rice.....Really bad.... Cucumber salad was just "blah".... The Plum iced tea was O.K, but seemed almost "thick"... Hubby had the turkey sandwich with cucumber spread..... It was really bad, just turkey with lots of Mayo.... It did have a nice outdoor patio & nice friendly service, but we would never return.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We have been coming to the tea room for years. Today, we were very disappointed. The tea room was 65 degrees inside, very cold. But the food was the biggest disappointment. We ordered the chicken salad plate. The salad was very chunky, like one chicken breast was cut into 6 pieces the size of two fingers, there was very large apples cut up in chunks, we couldn't tell what kind of dressing was on it, and then they sprinkled what tasted like nutmeg or allspice on top of it. I ordered the salad of the day which was a combination of lettuces in a basil dressing with two small chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers. The lettuce was wet and the dressing did not stick. The pepper and corn chowder soup was very thin, definitely not a thick chowder. I left most of the food on the plate, simply in edible.

“We were blessed to find this treasure!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The staff was darling and so helpful after a shopping excursion along the Arts Loop. Each visit was so delightful! The food could not be better or more appropriate for the area. The Chardonnay was cold and a lovely accompaniment to our pickled lemon and shrimp salad and
Salmon sandwich. This was followed by a magnificent peach concoction for dessert. Do not miss this amazing lunch place among the ice cream and pancake houses!

“Smokey Mountain Ambiance to perfection”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I had seen all the positive reviews of this restaurant. So, my mom and I stopped in for lunch while visiting the Arts & Crafts community shops. We were given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside on the deck. It was shaded, comfortable and surrounded by trees. The building itself is very quaint and rustic looking and decorated throughout with various crafts. The food and service was amazing. I had the house special Lobster Pie. It was piping hot and very tasty. My mom had the Chicken Salad with side salad and soup. She thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had iced Wild Plum tea. It was very good and refreshing on a hot day. We finished lunch off by sharing the dessert sampler. It was fantastic. Our lunch here was definitely a highlight of our trip.
