“Many ladies will find the experience delightful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

Wild Plum Tea Room is a must for many Sevier County tourists; Wild Plum Tea Room is directly on the artist and craft road. Wild Plum Tea Room small parking lot has been augmented by a parking lot across the street.

Wild Plum Tea Room is very small, service is slow, and remember this is tea room food. We do recommend the varying desserts, and there is a limited wine and beer menu.

Our preferred seating is on the screen-covered porch. We recommend that Wild Plum Tea Room be avoided on the weekends.

Wild Plum Tea Room is beautiful inside, and is perfect for a ladies luncheon. In fact, many ladies will find the experience delightful.

Wild Plum Tea Room is a positive asset to the Arts and Crafts community, and is a clear winner.

“A Relaxing Spot With Gourmet Delights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2013

I was on mini vacation for a girls getaway and we were looking for some Unique places to try. This place not only had great reviews but seemed to fit the bill for a girls retreat. I have to say we were all so very happy that we went to the Wild Plum Tea Room.

It was a nice warm day so we were seated on their deck. They have two types of outdoor seating, the deck where we were seated and a screened in porch. If you look at their website, pay no attention to their listed specials. It doesn't seem like they update their website very often.

They came to take our order for drinks, and while they offer several options they tell you they are famous for their tea. Since it was a warm day, we all decided to try their cold variety, and it was absolutely delicious. They brought out a serving of bread like most restaurants do, but what they brought was not like traditional bread. They brought us each out a mini muffin sliced in half with a serving of thier wild plum jelly. It was a hit with our group.

Almost everyone at our table ordered the home-made chicken salad. Someone also tried the soup of the day, which that happened to be cheesey califlower soup. And we got a Wild Plum Desert Sampler. Wverything tasted good. Some of us liked the chicken salad more than others. I liked it a little less than some. It had a great taste, but I am honestly a little biased as it is hard to beat the chicken sald a friend makes. Everything else was exceptional. Even the fruit was perfectly ripe.

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a relaxing atmosphere with tasty food.

“Wonderful, delicious experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

We had 2 recommendations to try this place for a bite; both recommendations came from local artistic entrepreneurs. We stood in line for about 20 minutes. And didn't know to ask for the patio, even though it was a glorious, sunny day.

When you go, you'll sign yourself in to the "guest book", including the number if your party and next time I'll write, "patio" next to the registration. But even though we sat inside, could not be happier with food and service. It's open only for lunch, so be sure to get there early enough. We arrived about 1:15 PM and by the time we were seated, they were already out of the lobster pie. Oh well, something to return to next time. The chicken salad is wonderful; not overly loaded with mayo and good size chunks of chicken. The tea comes 2 ways: I had mine hot and my companion had cold tea. The hot tea was the best!

I agree with other reviewers -- get away from downtown Gatlinburg and go up Rt. 321 to the arts and crafts community and you'll find this lovely place among the roses.

“Relaxing Lunch in a Nice Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

We decided we would try this tea room for lunch as it sounded quaint and unique. It was located on the country street that takes one past the arts and crafts stores. It appears to be a converted house that has a small seating area both upstairs and downstairs. However, the real treat is to sit out on the patio on a nice day. And we indeed had a relatively warm and sunny spring day for doing so. It was a lovely setting for a meal. The menu was a limited but they had some very nice choices. My husband had an arugula salad to start which was lovely. He then had the turkey sandwich with pepper sauce, which he said was also nicely done. I had the strata, which was similar to a quiche. It was excellent. It came with the cheese soup which was also very tasty. We shared a generous portion of delicious bread pudding for dessert. This was a wonderful spot for an enjoyable lunch. The service was very good and the prices were very resonable. I highly recommend it.

“Great Atmosphere!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

This is a great place to grab brunch or lunch. It's a little off the beaten path, but is almost always crowed at lunch. Please expect great food, great atmosphere and great service. The next time you are in the Gatlinburg area you owe it to yourself, visit the Wild Plum Tea Room for brunch or lunch. You will not be disappointed.
