Description: Casual Dining in Downtown Gatlinburg, TN Blaine's Grill & Bar is located on the site originally known as Rebel Corner which burned down July, 1992. The fire destroyed one whole city block, owned by Mr. Smith's family. Home from college for the summer, Kirby watched the block burn to the ground, and then left college to help his family rebuild the block. He decided to open a restaurant/night club where Rebel Corner originally stood. Blaine's Grill and Bar was established January 1998 by Kirby Smith. Mr. Smith descended from one of the original Gatlinburg families & has lived in Gatlinburg all his life. Mr. Smith opened Ronnie Milsap's Keyboard Cafe, January 1995 which he ran under this name until January 1998 where he converted to Blaine's Grill & Bar, striving for a more modern, fun place to come as opposed to the previous country theme. Blaine's Grill and Bar has been a great location for the past ten years for restaurant goers. Our menu serves a great variety of freshly prepared meals and has one of the best views of the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg.

“Best place to eat on the strip”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

My husband and I ate at Blaine's for lunch during a recent visit to Gatlinburg. I had a chicken salad and my husband had a french dip. (His was much better!)We had the sweetest little Waitress. Dallas - gave us good advice about the food, as well as ideas about Gatlinburg that helped us enjoy the rest of our stay in town.

If you're spending your day shopping and people watching in Gatlinburg, Blaine's is worth a try. They also have a great patio that over looks the strip. Super fun.

“Really shocked this place.didnt meet our expectations”
Reviewed July 2, 2013 via mobile

Stopped in here for lunch while in gatlinburg for the weekend. Really was into eating on the upstairs patio outside and people watching all the other tourists below. Heres the great and good. The location is awesome, center of town with a great balcony to eat from and as said people watch. The drinks were made very well and the food was fantastic. Now the bad. When we walked in it was middle of the day and despite lunchtime didnt appear to be super busy The server directed us upstairs as we asked for patio seating. Once there we had to wait for a second server to realize we were there, maybe not paying attention to her earpiece. Took about 15 minutes with no crowd to be seated. After we were seated we eventually flagged down a waiter who informed us our waitress would be with us right away. Give or take another 10-15 minutes our waitress came out and was very apologetic and stated noone told her we were in her section. We asked what drink specials there were and since invented there ordered one a piece. She came back a few minutes later and took our food order. Mind you no water at this time served. Another 10 minutes and a runner brought out our food. Still no water, still no drinks. We were literally half way finished with our meals by the time the drinks made it to the table and again the waitress, sweet girl, was very aplogetic. The food was very good, proportions, flavor, price all fair. I would not go back however, their good with the resturaunt by no means outweighs the sloppy and poor customer service. I really did enjoy the food but that was definately the highlite and in this little tourist town there are many places where they appreciate tourist and thrive on customer service

“Good local food”
Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

The food was good. Ordered fried pickles to start and they were awesome! I had the croissant club (yeah I went girly) and it was pretty good but not amazing. The kids menu worked for us with a grilled cheese and spaghetti.

I will say it was disappointing that the patio allowed smoking or we would have sat out there. But that's the way it goes sometimes. No big good but good to know.

Our server was also nice. She kept up with our drinks and was very pleasant.

We would probably visit again on another trip to Gatlinburg.
