Great pizza, the calzones were big enough to feed 3 normal people or 1 teenager. The service was outstanding, we had tickets to a show and were running behind time. our waitress pushed our ticket and got us served and out in record time. Very convenient location right on the strip. We'll defintely eat here again when in G'burg.

Did not expect the food to be so good! Portions were very large though! Did not come close to eating it all and couldn't take left overs with us as we were in a hotel. Service was good and fast. Would definitely return.

We happened upon the Best Italian Cafe & Pizzeria while walking the parkway. My husband was very hungry and had to eat NOW so we went in. The first thing I noticed was the smell. While not totally bad, it was not good either as it smelled like carpets seeped in too much oil. But, since the man really wanted to eat, we sat down and ate. Our waitress was young and shy, not terribly informative. The "famous" garlic rolls did not live up to the hype. They appeared to be bread dough with cheese, olive oil and oregano on them. We ordered the lunch specials and found the food plentiful, but plain. It's pretty hard to screw up pizza and pasta so it was OK. I do think they need to clean the restaurant (and the carpets?) to make it smell fresh and inviting. Had he not been starving, I would have left once we entered and took a whiff.

There are two Best Italian Cafe and Pizzerias on the strip in Gatlinburg- one in the middle of the strip and one up towards Ober Gatlinburg. The one farther up the strip is your best bet. It's hidden way in a tiny plaza and sits back from the road. It looks like more locals eat here than tourists because of it's more obscure location. The food is amazing and a great value. Make sure you get their garlic knots. They are legendary and dripping with a garlicky butter sauce and dusted with parmesean cheese. The prices are decent and the portions are huge. The Chicken Florentine is amazing. Their pizza looks great too, although I've never gotten it because there are too many other delicious Italian specialities to choose from. Worth the visit.

Oh MY! Hidden off the main street (and with free parking) the Best Italian has the most amazing garlic rolls! We shared two appetizers and a small antipasta salad between three very hungry adults for a late lunch/early dinner. My niece had the mushroom pasta. We left very little behind. I was driving so didn't get to enjoy a glass of wine - but will in future trips. This would be a great place to grab a bite and a sit while shopping or to fuel up after hiking or driving! The calzones are ENORMOUS - from the table next to us. That is on my short list!
