Recent vacation in Gatlinburg, ate at a different restaurant every night.
Best we found, just excellent, was the Cherokee Grill. Crowds and a wait, but no problem; lots of seated waiting areas both in and outdoors. Wonderful house salad; wonderful steak called a Prosperity Steak with
Worcestershire butter, wonderful au gratin potatoes called Nina's Potatoes, I think. Good grilled shrimp. Great fresh hot bread. Nice wines by the glass. Nice waiter. Prices relatively high; $15-25 0 entrees.
The only problem with Gatlinburg restaurants is that you can't find parking near them without paying $5. (Tip: invest in a parking lot in Gatlinburg).
But don't fret about it; just pay and enjoy. An extra $5 for dinner for 4 people isn't a disaster.
