“In a tourist city a great find.”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Looked high and low for a "non-tourist trap" restaurant without having to drive 40 minutes. Walked in and was pleasantly surprised by the "lodge" atmosphere. My wife who normally is afraid to order meat, ordered the prime rib and although slightly overdone due to being one of the least pieces (found out post-meal), it was super tender and seasoned well. I had the boursin stuffed filet and it was super tasty. The baby had chicken fingers which were hand battered and quite good. Slightly disappointed they didn't allow a salad as one of my two sides, but that is consistent with a lot of upscale restaurants. Overall, a great find on our road trip and someplace we would come back to.

“GREAT!!!!!”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

I can not say enough about the food and service at Cherokee Grill. It was wonderful. Yes, it is a bit pricey. But for the best steaks you will want to go there!!

“Excellent Food, Service & Atmosphere in downtown Gatlinburg”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

We had a large party (10 which included 4 young children). Cherokee Grill was one of the few places in town that allowed us to make reservations and they seated us in a lovely glassed in room....private but still on the main dining area. We had 2 waiters and were very well serviced. The steaks, both filets and NY strips were raved about, but everyone loved their good...even the kids. The macaroni and cheese was a culinary delight with a little kick. Food, service and atmosphere was great. It was a lovely oasis in the middle of the hubbub of Gatlinburg....with prices not that much more than the other more ordinary establishments in Gatlinburg. Well worth a visit.

“Chef needs to pay more attention”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Would be a 4 plus but cuisine is not up to snuff. The salmon was over cooked, catfish and calamari almost flavorless. The blue cheese grits sounded interesting and you must like blue cheese to appreciate the dish but a few bites is enough. Asparagus was good and service was great. Overall this resturant should have been a nice break from tourist food. The dishes looked better than they tasted. Too bad! (Parking validation was a plus.)

“So good we ate here twice!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

Our party of 13 chose Cherokee Grill based on good reviews. We called ahead and had a beautiful glassed room all to our selves. Jeremiah, our waiter, was knowledgable and made very helpful suggestions. The teriaki steak and filet were raved about, but everyone was happy with their meals. The prime rib sandwich was huge. The favorite side was the macaroni and cheese. Everything came out at the right temperature, even the salad forks were chilled. Decor, food and service was much classier than anywhere else we ate In Gatlinburg. Well worth the price.
