“More impressed with the food than the service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

This is probably our favorite breakfast place in Gatlinburg. The food has always been delicious. We especially like their homemade maple syrup. During our most recent visit, the service was not as good as it normally is. First of all, the hostess and another employee seemed to be having some sort of disagreement and it was very awkward to be standing there witnessing it, as they figured out where to seat us. It was also apparent that they were short staffed. Our waitress seemed very overwhelmed, as she was responsible with a party that included over 20 people. Once the party finished their meal and left, we did receive the level of service we expect from Atrium, but by then our meal was half over. We will definitely give them another try, as our previous experiences have been much better. My very good rating is an average of our visits.

“Baked apple pancake is the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

We visited this restaurant for the first time in several years. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant appeared clean and the food was delicious. When the waitress learned that we lived several hours away, she brought us the recipe for the baked apple pancake, which was absolutely delicious.

“Food Quality upgrade needed for Breakfast”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Our hostess and waitress was friendly and fast (this was the same person). The decor had been somewhat updated from the hunter green and pick decor shown in a pic. Windows were clean so you could see out. They have their own parking...from here it goes downhill.

Although the cook can cook the ingredients are less than for the money. It was what you would expect from a $5 breakfast that I paid $9+ for; gravy from a packet mixed with water, pancakes from a cheap mix...not even the quality of say Krusteaz or even Bisquick, tasteless margarine, and frozen Chicken Fried Steak. The bacon seemed as if left over from yesterday and reheated in a microwave...that is so not right by any standard.

And another sad point...their waterfall attraction was not even turned on (due to the slow down of tourist we were told). We were one of two tables being served at 9AM. If the food quality were better I believe they could leave the waterfall on.

“Fast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

We were planning to eat at the Pancake Pantry, but line was so long. We drove a little farther down to The Atrium. Food was great. Service was wonderful. Only complaint was it was a little pricey.

“Eggs Benedict!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

I wish I would've saved more room for pancakes, because the few bites I had of my beau's were delicious... something about the syrup was both subtle and sumptuous. The veggie Benedict (sans peppers & onions) was done well, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
