My wife and I enjoyed our lunch, beers, and talking with the owner. We had the fish and chips and the burger with chips, both of which were very good and reasonably priced. It's a really cool atmosphere and we would recommend it to travelers for food or just pulling a few pints.

We sat outside and we loved the patio and live music. It is a pub, so don't expect tons of wine options. The chips were great. They do need more help, two ladies to cover the entire place, as well as the bar, just doesn't cut it. Just make sure you get their attention while they are walking around well before you actually need a drink.

Our family enjoys the pub atmosphere, and was looking forward to eating here. We won't be back. We arrived on a weekend evening, around 6 pm. We were greeted by a "seat yourself" sign and only 2 clean tables. Only one table was occupied (inside), and there were only 2 people at the bar. We quickly realized that one person was serving as not only the bartender, but the waitress and busgirl for the entire place. In fact, we thought initially she was also the cook!

Service: Inexcusable to have only one person serving all of the above duties in a weekend getaway resort during peak fall colors. And with there being hardly anyone in the restaurant, the fact that the tables remained dirty throughout our meal was even more inexcusable. Condiments also had to be asked for (ketchup, tartar sauce), instead of being brought out with the meal.

Portion size: Inadequate. The only fish and chip offering was the "football game day special" i.e.-one piece of fish. When we inquired regarding the standard 2 piece meal, we were told it "wasn't available" since they had "the special". So, we got a fairly small piece of fish, a decent amount of fries, and approximately 3 bites of cole slaw. Then, we asked for the ketchup and tartar sauce. We got little packets of ketchup, and MAYBE a tablespoon of tartar sauce, served in a small styrofoam cup. My son did order the kids chicken fingers, and he actually got 2 LARGE chicken fingers-double the meat we did, and homemade potato chips. It was laughable that the child meal was larger than the adult.

Food quality: The food did come out hot and fresh. The fish was a little dry.

Atmosphere: Definitely not English Pub at all.

Beer choices: 5 on draft. We wanted one that was light in color. There were 2. One was "empty". That left us with Strongbow-apple cider beer?-No......

Definitely a "been there, done that, won't be back" type of place for us.

Two servers and a barmaid are not enough to keep up with demand at this otherwise great little place. The owner was helping out but we still saw diners come in, wait and wait, then leave in frustration. Too bad because the food is excellent. We were in no hurry and spent an leisurely hour getting lunch. The burger and the fish and chips were on special for $8.99 each and that is what we ordered. Great burger, cooked to order. It came with fries or chips. I recommend the chips, made on site and served warm. The fish and chips had two good sized pieces of fish with a light coating of batter, served piping hot with a very small side of cole slaw and the previously mentioned chips. By the time the food came, we had to ask for a glass of ice to refresh our huge glasses of iced tea. A couple of desserts were on the menu but the large portions plus the slow service ruled that out. The servers were hustling, and friendly, just needed more of them. Place was very clean, including the restrooms.

Atmosphere is loud and small, plus the smokers smoke was blowing inside. Food was just average or less.
