The cabin was adorable. The location is great! The master bedroom was amazing! The maintenance guy was very quick to respond when the hot tub wasn't heating up and he was very kind and helpful!
The cabin was clean and beautiful, we enjoyed the view and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely go back.
We had a great time and loved the cabin, the kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were comfortable. The owner sent detailed info on getting around as well as any contact info needed for maintance... cable... house keeping, we really appreciated that very much. The pool table/ Air Hocky table was also a big hit !
Let me preface this review by saying that James (maintenance) was beyond AMAZING! He was so friendly and helpful and made this cabin experience more manageable.
This was our first cabin adventure and I'm not so sure that I want to do it again. We has issues with our showerhead and water pressure on the first night, which after 2 days, James was able to make perfect for us. The cabin itself needs some TLC. The lower kitchen cabinet was broken off of the hinges and I took a picture because I was afraid that we would be accused of breaking it. There were long blonde/brown pieces of hair EVERYWHERE....bed, shower, sink, floors, toilet, and our sheets which I'm assuming were supposed to be white, had large yellow/brownish stains on them. I did not want to spend the entire weekend calling the cleaning service/complaining, so I went and purchased two new sets of sheets and got to sweeping. By Saturday evening (our 3rd night there) I was almost comfortable enough to relax! Pigeon Forge and Gailtlinburg were beautiful as usual (not our first trip), but I think we will stay at the bottom of the mountain next time.
Bear Skye Cabin was the perfect get away for my little family. It has a great location just about a 15 minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg and the national park. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, the views weren't spectacular, but if you walked a little way down the road you could get a great view of the mountains. It was clean and we felt very safe the whole week. Overall it was a great place to stay!
Stayed here w/my family of 4 from 8/1-8/7/2017. Cabin is nice but shows its age on the porches and some finishes. Pool table/air hockey and video arcade have limited functionality due to age (i did splice a chord to allow it to be plugged in). needs cabin needs some updating with lightbulbs and old mini-blinds, but overall - we would gladly stay here again. community pool is 1/2 mile straight downhill - nice pool. laundry facilities in cabin and all utilities and appliances were great. hot tub on the small side but still nice & water is replaced after each turnover of guests. cabin is less than 10 miles and 30 minutes from just about everything in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountains. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens and towels. Clean overall. good communication from rentor. set in the Smoky Mountains - at the top of a hill - in a nice formerly gated community of now all rental cabins. Nice mostly-private setting due to hill and trees. pet-friendly - although we left our little dog @ home. has wi-fi, cable tv, phone, fireplace (seasonal operation). bring your own hairdryer if you need one! has most other items you would need/expect in a fully furnished home/cabin! thanks for a great stay!!
The cabin was amazing. We will want to stay there again. Great master suite and very quiet location. Game room was a real plus. We had every Time there that we needed and more. Kitchen was stocked with all utensils. Living room area was very comfortable. The whole cabin was spotless clean and fresh.
