“Gouging tourists like every other attraction..”
Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

But this one is nice bc it gets you away from the crowded sidewalks and smokers ( don't expect fresh mountain air in downtown Gatlinburg ) . It was peaceful and the views are great. Of course they try to get more $$ out of with a picture . Just ask someone to your photo with your own camera once at the top.

“Conquer a mountain for $13”
Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

Thrilling, wild, and windy...it cost a total of $22.75 for one adult & one kid plus $12 for bragging rights (ie small photo). A lot of fun with bathrooms & gift shop at the top of the mountain.

Higher than Gatlinburg's space needle by a long shot (1800 ft for sky lift, 407 ft for needle)!

“Awesome views”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Let me begin by saying I'm TERRIFIED of heights, and therefore don't like either the ride up or the ride down. I have, however, been on the Sky Lift twice and can attest to the amazing scenery you see at the top--which is several hundred feet higher than the Space Needle. I believe it costs around $13/person (for adults), but I'd say the views are worth it.

“Have ridden this several times”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Rode this for the first time in 1978, and have ridden several times over the years. It is a nice, slow ride up and back down the side of the mountain, and gives a great view. Have done this both in daylight and also with the nighttime view. They take a photo of you that you can purchase, for memories of the experience. And, there is an area to shop and eat at the top of the mountain. Definitely recommend.

“Fun but cold and windy”

We always try to take the tram whenever we are in town. Great views of all of downtown Gatlinburg. Don't forget to get a picture.
