The view is fantastic but the rest of the place really needs some work. Very old, in the old heart of Gatlinburg.

We were very excited to go to the top of the Space Needle once we arrived in Gatlinburg, but I was surprised to find the entrance to it located in an arcade. The same guy who supplies kids with game tokens sent us up in the glass elevator, and that was the extent of employee interaction with the guests. I guess I was surprised no one worked the viewing deck area to make sure guests had no concerns, were behaving, had their questions answered, and were ushered back into the elevators in a timely and safe manner. I just didn't feel terribly safe up there with my young kids. The view was OK - nothing special. We had just as good of a view from our condo balcony. I wish we would have spent our viewing money on something seemingly more fun like the sky lift or aerial tram.

First I would like to take a moment to say thank you for visiting the Space Needle in Downtown Gatlinburg, TN. Here is information for the review readers, We offer Gatlinburgs only 360 degree view of Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mountains, you will find no other view like ours. We have cameras located on the observation deck watching all activity up top, so you will be very safe, I would also like to mention the Free view finders included with your trip to the top as well as the educational history signs located North, East, South, and West. Lastly, The Space Needle entrance and ticket booth is located in the front of the building and unobstructed by any games, Tokens for our multi-million dollar Arcadia can not be purchased at the Space Needle ticket booth. Although you may or may not have visited, several of these statements in the review are simply not true.

Happy Viewing,
Space Needle Team

As everyone else has said, the views are really great day and night. But the view is what it is, just a view. The arcade is pretty good, and they have lazer tag that is fun for kids and adults as well.

Be sure and take ride to the top of the Space Needle. You will have a birdseye view of Gatlinburg and part of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. A real treat is during the fall leaf color season.....simply breathtaking!

Loved the views! Could use your ticket twice within 24 hours. Would of been nice to go up again, but we didnt have time. They had free telescopes to look at which was fantastic.
