I booked this hotel after reading all the good reviews. The check-in staff was pleasant and parking was plentiful. Upon arriving in our room we found the room to be small with the king bed taking up most of the room, mold around the bathtub, a closet door that was off track, a lounge chair and ottoman that were so stained and worn I could not bring myself to sit upon them. When we turned on the TV we found all channels were mislabeled and no directory in the room to help. When we took a bath, we discovered the tub was bowed in the middle resulting in a puddle of water that would not drain out. The breakfast bar was another disappointment. The area is way too small for the amount of guests. There are not enough table and chairs so guest spill over into the sofa and chairs in the lobby. These chairs were so soiled they were disgusting. Attending breakfast was more like going to a soup kitchen. Eating breakfast with strangers in their pajamas was bad enough without several of them being barefooted. I like the Marriott brand hotels, but this is not one that I would stay at again.

My review is based on one night stay which was October 26th. We booked the king room upon arrival only and there were very few rooms available at that time.

Our room was extremely clean which was our priority. The continental breakfast was more than satisfactory with a variety of breakfast items. The front desk staff was pleasant.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We spent three nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Gatlinburg North. The rooms are clean; they met my wife’s high standards which is an accomplishment. The hotel has an indoor pool with a spa and an outdoor pool with a water drop, a fountain and a waterslide. This outdoor pool was an unexpected bonus. Our children loved it. The breakfast served was good; the waffles were also a nice surprise. The Fairfield Inn only has wired high speed access in the rooms, but will provide you a patch cable if you ask. I staff is friendly and helpful. I will stay at this property the next time I am in Gatlinburg.

We had a great experience at this Fairfield Inn & Suites. First off, this hotel has a great location between downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It is only about two minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and roughly ten minutes to Pigeon Forge (this is with no traffic of course). They offer free parking which is great for the area - on a previous visit we paid $8 to park in Gatlinburg. They have two pools, one inside and one out. The outside pool was closed of course because it is out of season; however, it looked very good. It had a water slide and everything. I would definitely like to visit during the summer to take advantage of that. The inside pool was heated perfectly (not too hot), and the hot tub looked nice. It was bigger than normal. The room was very clean and smelled great. The bathroom was pretty big and spacious. The only problem we had with the bathroom was the water pressure in the shower. I was almost scared to shampoo my hair for fear of not being able to rinse it all out. The beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows and sheets. There was some dried gum on one of our sheets though. We just discarded it and didn't think too much about it. One other drawback was that there wasn't a mini fridge or microwave. They did have a coffee maker, blow dryer, and iron with board. The breakfast was good, but it was very crowded. They had the usual Fairfield breakfast of bagels, toast, oatmeal, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, etc... The hours during the week don't really accommodate vacationers especially if you are from a different time zone. Breakfast ends at 9am which is 8am my normal time, and I definitely like to sleep in while on vacation. The staff was nice, but they didn't seem too friendly in general. Overall though the price was great for that time of year, and I really enjoyed the hotel. I would definitely recommend it.

I must say this was our first "Fairfield" stay versus other Marriott properties. Our standard room was quite small and resembled a box. The bed took up the whole room. Weeknights were $105, next night jumps to $130 for Fri/Sat. NO way is this justified for same box room. This same trip, we had more space and amenities at Best Western for half the price.
When comparing with other Marriott's this one is just average, and does not deserve price. The internet speed is "slow". No fridg or micro. There is a mini-golf on the grounds and with our window open we were forced to hear some goofy monotonous saying from golf character.
*The outside of the property is attractive and the breakfast is very good. A trolley picks up at the hotel every 15-20 min. For .50, It drops you at the Ripley Aquarium. We had a car and drove to the strip, but we found no free parking. Most lots are $5-7/day. Our trip highlights were the "Smoky's and Ripley Aquarium.

This hotel was super. The staff was helpful, housekeeping daily was great. We had breakfast daily. The pool was heated and we spent a lot of time on the waterslide. So much fun! Our room was very clean and the bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Convenient to Damon's Restaurant next door, where we had lunch. We jumped on the purple line trolley and ventured to town. Everyone in Gatlinburg was friendly. We attended a few timeshare presentations and one paid us $120 cash plus 2 free nightsfor our time. We stayed at the Fairfield for $95 total for 3 nights because we attended a timeshare presentation the next morning down the road. I would go back to this hotel!!

We just came back! The hotel was great! If you have kids they will love the water slide! The outdoor pool is small! You can't really swim in it, it is more for the slide! If you actually want to swim i would recommend the inside pool! And its heated! The rooms were ok! They have some kind of drain problem in their showers! The water doesn't go down fast enough if there is 3 people taking a shower one right after another! You will have to wait a half of an hour unless you don't mind getting into the bath water of the person before you! And don't use the heat it has a smoky smell and doesn't leave! But the beds were super comfortable and had plenty of pillows! Breakfast is 7-10 and the earlier you get down there the better! It gets crowed! And not enough seating! The staff is helpful and friendly! There is the Trolley right at the hotel and Davy Crockett's Mini Golf on one side and Damon's on the other side and Cooter's in the front of the hotel!
