The service and food were very good. It was nice to just stay at the Lodge instead of going down the mountain to chain restaurants and loud noises.

My husband and I recently ate dinner at the Lodge while on a recent trip to Gatlinburg. We were not staying at the Lodge, but had no problems getting a reservation for the time and date we wanted.

We had the tenderloin sliders as an appetizer, which were perfectly done and there was plenty to share between two people. One person could have made this an entree with a salad and had enough for a full meal.

My husband had Sea Bass and I had a curried grouper-both were fantastic and perfectly cooked. The sauces with them were fantastic.

For dessert, we both had the bread pudding, which was delicious.

The speed of the meal was relaxed, we didn't feel rushed at all. We sat outside and had the chance to enjoy the beautiful views without feeling like one course was coming to us while we were still finishing the prior course.

Yes, the meal was expensive, but it wasn't out of the ordinary, compared with what quality restaurant food costs in the area where we live. The view and the food were worth it. We would come back again!

While staying at the lodge me and my girlfriend decided to try the restaurant for dinner. We order the salmon and snapper, both were just ok, and were very salty. Then we had the chocolate cake, again just ok, not worth $14!! The final bill with just the two main courses and dessert was $90!! The meal was only worth $50 tops....main courses do not come with salad and the portions are really small. This was by far the biggest disappointment in Gatlinburg. But the view is nice....
