We spent one night there. It is located at the very end (toward Pigeon Forge) of the strip of hotels in Gatlinburg. Good parking, beautiful location on the river. We walked into the heart of town with no problem. Regarding the accomodations, just know that it's pretty old. No complaints, but don't expect anything updated (tv, updated bath, etc.). It does have internet access, though, and a fairly good free breakfast. For our needs (just sleeping), it was fine. However, if you're looking for modern and central location, you might want to keep looking.

Room was clean, but the noise all night from the road outside the door was unbearable and we could not sleep (and we are not light sleepers). Convenient store across the street did not help much either with noise all night long. Should have known something was wrong when we pulled up and there were no cars in parking lot. Had to check out and find somewhere else so we could sleep. Will never stay here again!

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you need sleep.

Stayed two nights to do some late fall hiking in the Smoky's. A room with a view and a fireplace sounded nice since it was a crisp autumn weekend. The fireplace worked and was a nice feature. Rooms have a balcony overlooking a stream and a view of the hillside behind which is nice. Our room also had a fridge and a microwave which is a plus for multiple night stays. The carpeting appeared old and stained but our room was clean. However, the facility sits right on the main road leading from Gatlinburg to Pigeon Forge and the traffic noise is very very loud throughout. In addition, the bathroom is very tiny, probably to accommodate the entrance to and from the balcony. The television is very old school as is the remote which is a far cry from even the most basic flat screens that most motels offer today. Overall I'd rate this a little less than average depending on the rate. It is definitely a $70-$80 a night stay. Paying anything more will disappoint most folks.

Room Tip: Fireplace is a nice touch during the fall and winter if you can still get a good rate!

Although this room had a great river view, the hotel sits too close to the main road. You can here the road noise all night long!

Room Tip: Try a different hotel

The front desk clerk was a jerk. I complained about my first room refrigerator not working. I asked to be moved to another room since I had food. He told me it works but he would me move me. I continued to get a lecture about how people steal the refrigerators(revelance???) and once again he told me it worked. Well......... we get to the other room and it is difficult to open and close. There was no door latch for it either. The shower was literally falling apart. You had to go behind the door to shut it because it was so small. The front desk clerk was either always on his phone or outside smoking. Ridiculous for a non smoking facility. Bedsheet was dirty on one bed. Pool area a JOKE.

Room Tip: Stay at the more expensive but better suited Clarion on the other side of town if you go with Choice...

Stopped here overnight while in Gatlinburg. Front desk staff was non-committal. Manager was outside on his cell phone and had to come back in to check us in. Went to our room, and we found the door was hanging open. We were unable to get the door to latch closed, so my husband went to report it to the manager. He came up and showed us the "trick" to getting the door to stay closed. Didn't offer to move us. So every time we went in and out, we had to make sure to slam the door and pull to be sure our room was secure. Wasn't crazy about this. Good thing it was only for one night. Tiny room and bathroom. Linens and mattress were old. Just not a clean, updated feel. View from the balcony of the river was great. That was the only redeeming part to the hotel. Won't stay again.

Room Tip: Don't think there is a
