My boyfriend had not experienced the Melting Pot before, so we did this as a treat. It is a long dinner and quite pricey, but we enjoyed it. I would suggest the other restaurants over this one.

When visiting Gatlinburg recently, we ate at the Melting Pot Restaurant. We'd seen it before, but had never taken the time nor spent the money to eat there. This time it was on the agenda before we left home. We had looked forward to eating there for a year or more.
The service was AWFUL and the food was worse. A boiled steak is not my idea of good eats. Our meal took 2 1/2 to 3 hours and cost more than I'd ever paid for 3 dinners before ($150+) except for when we ate at Emerils at Universal Studios. If someone told me I had to go back, I'd be willing to pay that much not to have to suffer through it again!!!
When we made our reservations, they ask us if it was a special occassion. I don't know why they asked because they didin't do anything special for us.

The food didn't blow us away, it was difficult trying to cook with a toddler in tow and the server kept rushing us through each course. A meal for the three of us was about $90, and that's with us only drinking water. The dessert was good, as was the appetizer of bread, veggies, apples, and cheese. However, the main course left much to be desired. I don't think we'll be returning.

We are sorry to hear that you have never tried The Melting Pot, and we're sorry to hear that our hours of operation disappointed you. Our hours of operation are standard with Melting Pots nationwide, but we truly hope that you will join us or another location for dinner.

This was our first fondue experience. We didn't really know what to expect or order and our waiter was most helpful in explaining the different selections. We probably could have gotten away with only ordering 1 cheese fondue instead of two. Be prepared to be there for awhile as this dining experience does take some time but totally worth it. We did have 3 children with us and we brought McDonald's for them to eat. Although they did enjoy the chocolate fondue and fruits. Def the highlight of their night! :) The food was wonderful! Reminder: When parking in garage be sure to give your waiter your parking ticket ($6 or $8 can't remember for sure) to take off your bill. Will def return! Enjoy...
