I have been twice and it was fun both times. The moonshine tasting was excellent, and gift shop was really nice. We all enjoyed listening to the musicians outside. Overall, a lot of bang for our buck,

Good display of how they make their moonshine. Go to a sample bar and have 11 different products to sample. I was determined to get the cherries until I tasted one. Thank goodness for samples.

Was a good way to spend a half an hour.

The Distillery is neat. There is lots to see and it is a big part of history in the Smokies; however, after visiting the winery we realized how cheap and touristy it really is. Every wine tastes cheap like something we could get in a gas station and at $20 a bottle, we were not interested. The bartender/server restricted us on how many wines we could taste (even though they were served in communion cups and not glasses like the Wine Trail Wineries.) If you want good wine go on down to Sugarland Cellars or any of the others on the Rocky Top Cellars and don't get sucked into this cheap tourist attraction.

Fortunately, the product delivers. It is a great experience overall. As a salesman by trade, I am well aware of the "Give something to create obligation to purchase" strategy. I am sure that it is a confident display of product that sells the majority of their product. No smoke and mirrors exist here. I am impressed with the balance of professionalism and rapport-building techniques that the staff used to create a sense of urgency in buying the product. Brilliant job guys. Excellent salesmanship made a salesman buy your product over 3 competing products in the area.

Me and my husband loved seeing this! First it was right in the downtown area so it was very accessible. Secondly it was free! They had a live band playing that was really good and a lot of rocking chairs out for you to enjoy! We also really enjoyed the free samples of all 12 of their flavors. We loved it so much we did this once in the afternoon and then came back that night. Highly recommend it!
