“Great camping!”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

My husband and I stopped at another campground before coming to this one. The price was extremely high, so we drove to this campground. It is quiet but still close enough to town. The trolley stops here every 30 minutes and will take you into town.
The restrooms and showers are extremely clean and nice pool!

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay and it is very reasonable ($25 water/electric, $35 for full hook up) compare to the others in the area this was the cheapest!

We will be back!

Room Tip: This is a campground, the fitness center is the mountains!

The campground is clean. The pool is clean. The boxes are doubled so I almost needed an extra cord. Close to downtown but far enough out that we did not have to be bothered. Nice place to camp. My son loved the creek. Will stay there again.

Room Tip: Dollar General next door has some food. Food City west of campground by a mile. There is a great str...

Camping in the Smokies has a very well groomed campsite for the modern camper. Whether it be a tent site, or rv site, Managers Bob and Bonnie will be happy to accomodate you. The restrooms and showers are extremely clean and well stocked. The swimming pool is immaculate, and that is an understatement. This campground borders the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and is quiet and serene. We didn't have to worry about campers partying late into the night, we were close to stores, attractions and entertainment. This one deserves 2 thumbs up.

This campground is overall wonderful. My boyfriend and I stayed on one of the few tent sites during our trip to hike in the Smokies. A recommendation- there is a Dollar General next to the campground- it's OK for picking up things like ice, snacks, milk, etc., but we found a grocery store after buying all our supplies from DG and I wish we had know about the grocery store first! It is called Food City and is only a couple miles away; it is on the right side of the road when you turn left from the campground and head towards Gatlinburg.

Pros: clean, well-maintained, conveniently located for shops and hiking, clean bathhouse with hot showers, laundry available, pool on site, friendly owners, firewood for sale on site, small creek near the edge of the campgrounds, trolley stop for a trolley into Gatlinburg ($0.50/person each way- helpful because you can't park for free in Gatlinburg, FYI).

Cons: close to the road (noisy), not much privacy between the small sites, no charcoal grills, very light at night (there are street lamps around the buildings, which are nice for walking to the bathhouse at night, but not so nice if you have trouble sleeping with lights on).

This was our first stay here.Bob and Bonnie are great. They take great pride in everything being clean and making sure you have anything you might need. It is an older campground but pool is sparkling; bathrooms are spotless and grounds pristene. Far enough out of town yet not too far. This will be our "go to " campground when we are in the Gatlinburg area!

The management, Bob and Bonnie are most helpful and very knowledgable about the area. They take pride in taking care of the campground and assuring your stay is very comfortable and satisfying. The rest rooms are the cleanest we have experienced in a campground and they go out of their way to make sure your stay is positive. It is located away from the hustle and the bustle of the area but close enough for all activities. We have stayed here 3 years in a row with no complaints.

This was our first visit to this campground. Oct 13-17, 2011 high leaf peeping season and the fall Gatlinburg craftsman fair. The manager, Bonnie, was very friendly and helpful. The location of the campground is great. Easy access to Gatlinburg, without driving, because of the trolley. A Dollar General is right next door for any necessities you need. The wi fi is free and great. Live streaming even works! They have firewood and ice available and they deliver it to your site. They have a swimming pool, but it was closed for the season by October. A scenic stream runs across the rear of the campground property. The campground is located on Route 321. If you take a right out of the campground within four miles of the park is access to Smoky Mtn National Park. This is the Greenbrier area that has Ramsey cascades. Much better than the traffic on 441 through the national park or Cades Cove. The bathrooms are very clean!! A laundry on site. Directions and helpful advice always available if you ask. Highly recommend.
