There's really nothing remarkable about this cabin. I don't understand the historic value of it. There are cabins like this scattered everywhere across America. I suppose it has some historical interest because everyone around here is named Ogle and the family seems to own the town and all the development in the area. But other than as a commemoration of the birthplace of a family patriarch and matriarch, this little cabin cannot compare to the great historic forts and structures such as those on Mackinac Island that really are about the history.
