Original cabin built by founders of Gatlinburg. Check out the details of the craftsmanship of the cabin and see what is on the floor.

“A nice, quiet setting in the "woods."”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

The cabin is located along a little scenic loop and has a cabin and a barn on the property. It's a beautiful location, and we took some great photos with our son here. Interesting to see a little of what life might have been like in the "old days." Makes us thankful for our nice, clean, air-conditioned and heated modern homes, that's for sure.

“Easy Access for Non-Hikers”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

There are a lot of cabins like this in Cades Cove, but none closer to Gatlinburg and easier to get to for non-hikers. If you want to see a slice of Tennessee life as it was 100 years ago without a long hike, here's your chance. Easy to get to and easy to walk through.

“Really quaint, but it could us some fixin' up...”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Oh! - it's suppose to look like this! Oops...I was wondering what with Gatlinburg constantly changing, all the modern buildings, nice restaurants and fancy shops, some corporation hasn't turned this into a Taco Bell or something - maybe a coffee shop. Or razed it completely and built a big box drug store.

Seriously - it is nice to step back in time and still be this close to all the town has to offer. Neat trip back in time to the way things used to be.

“Very Cool for little tourist shoppe”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

Very cool little tourist type shoppe. Most of the items were natural and locally made. The staff was nice and attentive.
