“Enjoyed stay here.”

The hotel was in a good location in Gatlinburg with plenty of parking (which can be an issue in Gatlinburg). It right by the Ober Gatlinburg Tram. The room was large and clean with comfortable bed. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the gas fireplace and complimentary coffee bar and cookies in the evening especially after coming inside from the recent snow. I would definitely stay here again.

HHonors members come to expect certain things from their frequent stays so it is easy to spot things that are not right. For example, no fresh coffee since breakfast. (2 days in a row after dinner, stone cold), room was not cleaned until after 430pm, fitted sheets so thin you could see through them, the adjustable number bed didn't work and it felt like sleeping in a bowl. Instead of your newspaper hanging on your door in the morning, you had to get one off the front desk. The list goes on, I asked for a response from management to my comments (please fill out your comment cards- good or bad) and I got no response. The hotel looks like Hilton, but the attention to the details says something else. It is in a great location, has good parking, but I have paid double at a Hampton Inn and felt satisfied.

Room Tip: Hotel is near the Peddler Steak House

We stayed at the HIlton Garden Inn in Gatlingburg for 7 nights during the busy "leaf" viewing season in October. We had a king size bed room with a fireplace. Room was clean and very spacious. The gas fireplace was so nice to use--timer could be set for 60 minutes. The hotel was quiet in the evenings! We purchased a bed/breakfast package when we booked the hotel at an additional price. The breakfast was wonderful, and well worth the additional money. Made to order omelettes, pancakes, waffles, french toast were always available. In addition, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, danish, sweet breads, fruit, cereal, toast, multiple juices, yogurt, toppings, and good 'ole coffee were served buffet style. The eating area was very nice as well. This was definitely not your typical breakfast served in other chains! A great way to begin the day!

The hotel had a gas fireplace in the lobby area, with TVs on each side. Also, a firepit and hot tub were outside in a patio setting. An indoor pool, visible from the fire pit, was also available.

The hotel was located on River Road, just a few blocks from the "main road" through Gatlinburg. We were able to walk to dinner, avoiding the need to drive for meals. A trolley stop was also in front of the hotel. Gatlinburg trolleys would take you to downtown shopping for 50 cents. Very convenient! We were so pleased with the value, service and quality of this hotel. We will return for sure!

Very nice hotel. We had a king suite w/Jacuzzi tub. room was very clean. No issues with Jacuzzi or anything else. some rooms have fireplaces and balconies. very pleased. Good room service. NO COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. But if your in Gatlinburg your probably not gonna want to eat a continental breakfast anyway. So no big deal for us.

After staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cranberry, PA, we were very happy we had booked into the one in Gatlinburg, TN. The staff are so friendly and attentive, it made our three nights there very pleasant. The hotel is well appointed and clean, the food was great and the prices reasonable. I'm always worried about the beds, but no worries there, the beds are very comfortable with the adjustable hardness/softness. Everything is within easy walking distance, and we appreciated that it was not right on the main drag, but on the next street overlooking the river. I wouldn't hesitate staying at any of these Hilton hotels.

Stayed here at Easter and really enjoyed this hotel. Location on River Road means it's quieter than most hotels in town but is still an easy walk to everything. Our room faced the parking lot but still had a decent view. Room was very clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
Did not really like the sleep system beds and they didn't seem to actually adjust. We were told when we checked out that they were considering replacing some with standard beds so this may no longer be a problem.
Would stay here again.

We arrived early and I asked whether it was possible we could check in. The desk person checked and said our room was ready, but if we could wait a few minutes, he could improve our view. I said we could wait and almost immediately he said that at our room level the room we had was the best he could do. (Translation: at the measly $139/night rate we were paying he couldn't upgrade the view.) This really left a sour taste and made me feel that we were on the Titanic in steerage. Had he checked this prior to saying he could upgrade the view, I would have been spared the embarrassment.

The room decor was very relaxing and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. However, the the housekeeping staff seems stretched beyond belief. As we were leaving the first night for dinner, housekeeping staff was still on our floor cleaning. The next day we returned to the hotel at about 3:00 to find our room not cleaned. We were tired and had intended to get a nap before dinner. I found the housekeeper and got fresh towels and gave her our used towels. She apologized and said that they had to clean the rooms not rented first.

We ate in the restaurant the first night. It's not busy and it seemed to take a while to get our food. It was okay. The breakfast buffet at $9.95 included omelets prepared to order, sausage and bacon with scramble eggs, waffles, fruit, pastries, juices and coffee. It was fresh and very good.

There really isn't any first class places to stay in Gatlinburg and this place is probably the best but could really be so much better. There isn't an off-season in Gatlinburg as it sits next to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. So there are summer tourist, leaf peeping tourists and skiing tourist - pretty much busy year round. The room rates aren't cheap so it would appear that more staff is needed and could be afforded.

Room Tip: Ask for 3rd floor up to improve your view of the mountains or downtown. 2nd floor has a view of the...
